"Play Today's Game" Section

Its About Time we started this section. It need not be automatic downloads of kit, etc., but you could centralize all the patches, (without classifying according to author's name) into one single download that contains the following and is updated daily.

1)CTMs
2)Kits and Kitnums
3)(Most... ) Faces
4)Overlays
5)GAMs .. this is optional, for test cricket. Quite difficult coz we can't get similar result at the end of the day but, anyway somewhat possible too.
6)Patched Exe... In case it is necessary.

Suppose for today, consider that we want to play Ind vs Aus at one of the Indian Stadia, this download comprises of:

1) India Update (Ctm, Kits/Kitnums,Faces)
2) Australia Update (Ctm, Kits/Kitnums, Faces)
3) Doordarshan Overlay

4)and the Image like this could be startup screen... (maybe somwhat improved one..)

Since it is ODI, GAM is not required at all. Compressed together, I guess this won't be more than 1- 1.5 MB
Perhaps a patch could be made on the lines of County Patch to support these frequent updates without affecting original data..

Doesn't grab me really. If you want to play a certain days game, it would be simple just to play it, never mind the ctms, faces, etc.

It's too much effort really for anyone to bother with, especially with Cricket 2004 around the corner.

Good idea....if you can find someone willing to do all the work of making such a daily download which is difficult.

i feel daily downloads arent nesscary but series ones would do, u can just change the starting eleven yourself....and stadia yourslef

but u dont need faces and commentary now....with c2k2 one month away, just change some of the players from andrews update and voila, u can play todays match

Well C2k2 has already been released.
