He isn't bad in ICC11 either! I remember the test and one-day series I had against Pakistan when I was England captain and he was the only Pakistani player to score runs!

yeah he is the best Pakistani batsman in ICC 11 & ICC12 both of them .

Yep, "time in the middle" and all that. For bowlers it's the number of wickets they take, which means you're better off bowling just a couple of your main guys in a friendly and supplementing their overs with batting part-timers, rather than sharing the wickets more evenly around the bowling unit.

I don't think the game rewards time in the middle with form - it rewards above-average scores, the higher the better, and the standard of opposition - as well as scoring speed, luck etc. - don't seem to matter much.

Good point about bowling though. Bowling form is all about wickets, other more valid metrics like strike rate and economy are not considered. If your four main bowlers are playing and take 2-3 wickets each to dismiss the opposition in four overs (extreme example), they won't gain much form, so you're better off playing two of them in warmup matches and hoping they take 5+fers.

I'd much prefer it if bowling form was assessed on bowling average. Using wickets has led to some truly bizarre, unrealistic behaviours in the way that I manage my team.
