I just bought a 500gig WD SATA2 HD and put it inside a Coolermaster ext hd enclosure so I could use it with the PS3 via USB. I have formatted it to FAT32 and it has its own power supply, but it is not detected at all by the PS3, someone please help me, my family are getting pissed off that I spent their money on something that doesnt work

Any help will be much appreciated.

Well I gave up trying to get it to work, and am streaming media from my pc using tversity. Works really well, unless attempting to stream 720p in which case my network is not fast enough. I'm not sure what you meant with the HD cable, if you were asking if I'm using an HDMI cable then yes I am, just a $10 one and the picture is superb.

Maybe he thaught you were talking about HDMI cable as you wrote HD instead of hard disk in your post.
