I've just seen short highlights of the Netherlands vs Brazil in 1974. Back then Brazil were World Champions, but the Netherlands beat them with 2-0. The match finished with a red card for a Brazil player. After he got the red card he got fired up against the Dutch reserve players or the audience that was sitting behind them.

But back then the Dutch team was famous because of their total football.

If Brazil plays like Portugal the Netherlands should win. I didn't see a great Brazil either, when they beat Chile.

But the same goes for the Netherlands. Normally they play great football and get knocked out soon of the tournament. Now they didn't play great football and are in the quarterfinals. Also they are currently on a 23 match unbeaten run.

I think the Dutch can upset Brazil. But its going to be a classic never the less. If the still vulnerable defense can stand firm, who knows.

Robben vs young left-back Bastos, is going to be a key battle in the game.

Netherlands have looked the better side in the 2nd half, Brazil haven't really got into this half and that red card made it all that more trickier.

Woo, go Netherlands. I can't believe I watched that until 4 in the morning, but it was quite interesting I must say. Netherlands are one of my favourite teams so I'm stoked with that win!

Haha I was thinking what is he up to, don't tell me hes pulling the Europe 2 - 1 Brazil thing. Think I will end up with Netherlands to see their brilliant unbeaten record go on or Uruguay.

The second half was an awful game of football. Brazil just threw it away. They controlled every game up until the second half of this match, then just conceded a sloppy goal and gave up. The passing in the second half was awful at best from Brazil and they were wreckless and indisciplined. They just gave up when Holland equalised. So frustrating because Brazil should've been able to reach the final.
