Hi, I'm looking to get a new wireless router. I'm looking at 2 options because they're both affordable and both come with the USB adapter. But I'm not sure which one to go with...
What should I choose: DIR-615 or WAG120N?
Thanks for any help :)

Could someone please tell me their view on which one looks more reliable? cheers :)

Poor guy has been asking this question for a few days, someone help him!

Personally I use a Linksys N router (not the model that you've posted). Linksys products have all been very reliable and have a lot of popularity. In comparison, D-LINK products are not that big but still there are people who have been happy with them (I bought a D-Link Wireless G router long time back but it had so much of performance issues that I returned it back within a day).

I personally recommend for you to go with the Linksys one (the WAG120N).

Thanks heaps. Ive seen too many bad reviews for the D Link, so i'll go with Linksys. Just out of interest which Linksys model are you using?

I am using WRT160N Wireless N router. Works fine for me (I have only one laptop thats N capable, rest all run on G).

Netgear RangeMax Wireless Router WPN824 :D

WPN824 - RangeMax Wireless Router - NETGEAR.com

It is super duper fast, and I can connect my iPod Touch to it from about a block away.

How's the signal strength and interference? I am planning to place my router upstairs because I sit upstairs for 99% of my time. But I am also planning to buy a Netflix Roku player for my TV (in the first floor and basement) to play my Netflix movies. Does it have good signal strength as advertised? Many routers advertise a lot but the actual performance is disappointing.

I have never had a problem with it, the signal strength is always at a maximum.

As I said, I went outside and walked down the street with my iPod till I lost the signal.

But I bought it a few months ago, there is probably a better updated model on the shelves.

As far as I am concerned, Netgear is the best brand if you are looking for a wireless router.

Netgear aee. Thanks for the advice, I really want a wireless modem router, because my current modem is pretty crap :( D-Link seem to be too un-reliable and Netgear seem awesome but expensive. Linksys currently leading :p better make up my mind soon. Suggestions welcome :)

My one doesn't have an internal modem but it has an automatic connector (which I assume all routers have). But I am sure Netgear has what you are looking for DSB.

And I have never heard anybody say their modem was crap, I mean a modem does only one thing and that's to connect you to the internet.

It has no lag, no needed signal strength, I am not sure what you mean by "pretty crap"?

By pretty crap I mean, it always disconnects from online games for some reason. It didn't use to this.
Could you tell me if it is any better to have a wireless Modem Router, or a wireless router. Or is there really no difference?
I'm pretty keen on Netgear so hopefully I can find something suitable. Thanks for the help anyways, I better make up my mind within the next 4 days..:p

Modems are like calculators, they are simple & reliable. Even the ice age ones work well. But make sure you have an ADSL 2 compatible one.

Linksys ones sound good as well. Just don't get D-Link, they are like cheap ass ████.

The only difference between a wireless modem router and wireless router is that you have 2 things to switch on and off with an external modem. If they are connected to the same switch plate, then it really is no problem.

I like having a separate Modem because I know if anything goes wrong I can replace it. A wireless router is also cheaper. It is also more flexible with your options.

It really depends how far from the exchange you are. Currently we are too far away (about 3km+) so the linksys modem keeps dropping. Got another one Thompson brand that handles that distance better but slightly slower speeds. Once they do the upgrades apparently we will be very close to it so the linksys modem could actually overload due to the close proximity which has happened a few times according to the technician. Not saying linksys is crap or anything but for us its not working too well.
