Thought I'd give a quick diary on my season 2008.
Have had three in-school training sessions and one school match (just a squad match against each other)
The first two Friday sessions were about finding some rhythm with my bowling and batting, and, it gradually improved - with some spells of good (and some of badish) bowling and batting.
Last Weds we played a match at school between the members of our squad - didn't really do much to be honest. Although strangely batted at number 4 and got a 10 ball duck (although played the best I have technically played). Didn't get a chance to bowl.
Today we had a nets session from 4 till 5 and I really started to find some excellent bowling rhythm as the leg-spin bowling was finally come back to some of its old form - I also managed to bowl a couple of variation balls (straight one
) and a couple of flighted slower balls with spin and bounce got me 3 stumping wickets. I also got a wicket (LBW) off of a ball that didnt turn (foxed him
) and got a couple of (likely) catches - so it was a very productive day in the bowling department, with my bowling being a lot tighter and more confident than previously.
No batting today unfortunately.
More to come...
