I'm kinda busy at the moment but I'll give it a go. Sorry for the delay I was out playing cricket all day yesterday.

I've been doing some looking around on the internet and have put together some concepts form various tuts I saw. Credit to the people who cut the renders in the pre-cuts thread What do you guys think of these effects:

O rite Yeah I didn't want to spend ages cutting my own renders just to experiment with them when it might just be a waste of time. I was talking about the effects on them not the actual renders : but a good spot nonetheless.

EDIT: OK, I've credited the 'cutters' in the original post.

I've put them into avatars and they look pretty good:
