Draft: Selection: Impossible

To be honest, the 20:40 vision mission, is kinda a repeat of the No Specialist Draft

Wasn’t that a 40/30 draft or did we have another one with 20/40?

- All of your picks must have Test batting averages over 30. All of your picks must have Test bowling averages under 40.

My first pick and I am straightaway thinking of providing maximum balance to the squad, hence I am picking Ravi Ashwin who is one of the greatest cricketing minds I have witnessed across my entire span as an avid cricket viewer. He is an excellent spinner to have in the team and has bloomed up becoming a vital all rounder over the years for the team. With 499 scalps to his name, he is just one shy of completing the magical mark of 500 wickets. Ravi will play at number 8 for now in my team.

@Till Valhalla for the double pick

Scott Styris
If you can see the discourse over the last year, there's one name that's on every one mind when we talk about one of the best all-rounders and that is Jacques Kallis, the discourse is he is overrated, for that answer go to reddit or discord, but no one takes the name of Scott Styris when they discuss overrated allrounder so he must be one of the best. Plus I said so.

@Till Valhalla you are next.

@Verified Enigma That isn’t the one though, in that draft we had to select batters averaging below forty and bowlers averaging above thirty in contrast to this one stating the need for all of them to be all-rounders in a sense.

I could also be wrong since it was eons ago. :p

10/10 writeup.

Thanks.

Everybody knows Bowlers wins you matches, so before all the good bowlers are taken I need to bring him in.

Rudra Pratap Singh.

A purple cap winner is a must have in any team, plus if he is on skill level of R.P Singh you don't see the format and give him the new ball to wreak havoc on opposition.

:eng: :bwl: Sydney Barnes

One of the most underrated bowlers in the history of the game. Barnes had a big impact in the short international career he was able to play in. He is also the player to scalp 49 wickets in just 4 tests in a single bilateral series which is still a record to this date. In his short career of 27 matches, bloke scalped 189 wickets with a ridiculous bowling average of 16.43

:eng: :bwl: Arthur Mold
Arthur Mold was one of the most controversial figures of an era when throwing became an increasing problem. Although his action was considered suspect for many years, there was no doubting his speed, and that allied to the movement he got off the pitch, made him the foremast quick bowler of his generation. At the time of his retirement he had taken more wickets than any other fast bowler.

He made an immediate impact in his first season (1889) taking 100 wickets at 11.80, and in the next 12 summers he passed a hundred wickets on nine occasions, and two hundred twice (207 in 1894, 213 in 1895).

His overall FC record stands at 1673 wickets at an average of 15.54 (BBI 9/29) with 152 5wi and 56 10wm. Despite the controversy surrounding him, I don't think there is a better fast bowler available who fulfills my team criteria.

@Yash.

I mean, he fits the mold of a NCRXI quick
