Hi everyone,

I am starting a story on Somerset team in ICC2005 game!!!! Due to my exams i will be bit slow till June5!!!!

SOMERSET TEAM

Coach : Surendar ;)
Period : 2 Seasons till now (2005 and 2006)

Achievements :

1)Success in both the seasons.
2)Somerset have dominated both the seasons like Aussies!!! :happy
3)Somerset won challenging trophy,20-20,National league and county championship in 2006.

When i started my coach on Somerset they were in division2 (2005). In 2006 they moved to Divison1. In 2006 they won all the championships... this is my unforgettable season!!!!! :happy

Dominating players so for :

In 2005 --- G.Smith,S.Jayasuriya and R.Johnson
In 2006 --- M.Hayden,A.Gilchrist and R.Johnson

Apart from the international players, R.Johnson is my good find!!! he has dominated in the bowling department!!!! He got 153 wickets in one season!!!

I am in 2007 season now!!!!
I will be starting the story on Somerset's 2007 Season!!!!

Somerset is finding a opening batsmen pair problem currently.....So I believe this is going to be a another thrilling season!!!!

Here are some screenies showing the great 2006 season performances!!!!

Cheers
Surendar

Somerset Vs Durham

Welcome to the second match in National League for Somerset !!!!

PITCH REPORT

This seems to good track for batting and bowlers have to bend their backs a lot to get a wicket. Weather Forecast is perfect!!!!

Toss :

Somerset won the toss and choose to bowl!!! This is a risky decision to bowl!!!

Here is the Team for Somerset...its really a experimenting one....

Durham batsmen are off to a great start!!! :clap

Really tough bowling on this track....

Crucial first ten overs were successfully crossed by Durham batsmen(Solanki and Peng) and the more important thing is that they havent lost a single wicket!!!!

Somerset bowlers are in pressure and fielders have dropped two catches already!!!!

ATLAST A WICKET....

Score : 129/1 in 21 overs

Somerset really struggling with their bowlers....The bowlers have no clue how to controll the run rate!!!!
After struggling hard, Peng who was blasting most of the balls to boundaries was dismissed!!!!
Still the runrate is high.... still 24 overs to go!!!! This match is going in Durham's direction for the moment...

The captain(R.Johnson) now feels that its a wrong decision after the toss to bowl!!!!

well, still not over....lets see whether somerset do some magic to stop the run overflow ;) or Durham going to dominate next 24 overs..... More Updates coming soon!!!!

:cheers

Its normal !!!!

ERWINE PROVIDES SOME RESSISTANCE IN BOWLING DEPARTMENT.....

It was an exciting last 25 overs!!!! The runs were coming on one end and at the same time some quick wickets fell!!!!

Erwine striked in very first over getting rid of well settled Solanki!!! Erwine got 3 wickets in his first two overs...Match seemed to be in control for Somerset but then collinghood and Plunkett played some aggressive knocks!!!! Finally Erwine ended with 4 wickets!!!

Blackwell started well with beautiful tighty overs, then he was also smashed for fours later and he ended with 9-1-33-1!!!!

Durham batsmen managed to put a competive score at the asking rate of almost 6 per over!!!!

Its a real disappointment for the captain, for having ended his spell without a wicket....he was also smashed all over!!!!

Chasing is going to be a little tough now becos of the inconsisstency in opening pair...Still the experiments are continuing for the opening slot!!!!
Lets see how Somerset batsmen are going to respond to this!!!!

:cheers

Thanx !!! :cheers

BLACKWELL ON FIRE......

Somerset started with Erwine and Fallis!!!! They were not looking good at first few overs!!! Fallis was dismissed when the score was 14!!!

Then a sudden promotion to Blackwell up the order was decided!!! He was sent to maintain the stablity at one end and Erwine to go after the bowlers at other end!!!

But the things were different now!!! Blackwell punished the bowlers all over the ground....

Erwine decided to support Balckwell... So Erwine in defensive mood to maintain the stability!!!!

Somerset is in very good position!!!! Erwine is in 14(33) and Blackwell firing 40(23)!!!!

Somerset's comparison to Durham in first 10 overs is great!!! The orange line in the comparison graph is Somerset's line!!!

Becos of the few good overs at the first, the asking rate is still 5.8/over!!!

Lets see whether this aggressiveness continues......Stay for more updates!!!!

:cheers
