A hint - Batsmen who have an 'o' shape next to the bat are openers...

lol!!! :D

I didnt mean that!!! I told that the opening batsmen are not in good form for Somerset. They always loose the early wicket!!!! ;)

And thats because you have openers at number 4!! (Atleast in the national league match you did...)

FRUSTRATIONS BUILDING FOR ESSEX....

The things are not looking good for Essex bowlers cuurently!!! They are really frustrated for not able to break this pair in a greeny wicket. the bowlers are bending their backs at their level best.

As a result, they are giving away extras. Fielders are also in pressure as they are clueless how to stop the balls going near them. Also there were couple of close calls for LBW that was turned down by the umpire.

Somerset batsman really looking cool and just managing to rotate strikes, Ervine once again providing a strong stable role as the opening batsman. Bishop is playing as no3 for the first time in Somerset. He also finds comfortable with Ervine.

So the captain of Somers is extremely happy with the performance so for... he is hoping them to continue in a similar way!!!!

But the Captain of Essex really finding it difficult with the bowlers. he is just convincing the bowlers not to panic away.....

So the interesting contest between bowlers and batsmen is on now... But still the weather hasn't played its role!!!!

Looking at the moment the way the things are going for Somerset, only weather can help Essex. Esses really need some quick wickets to be back into the game.

Sommerset have made a steady 81/1.

The bowler frustrated with the noballs and also it was smashed away.

The batsmen are easily finding the gaps..

The Good Decision from the umpire(NOT OUT).

Just few more mins to go for lunch. If bowlers can take couple of quick wickets here, then Somerset wud be in trouble!!!!

SOMERSET LOOSING THE SECOND WICKET....

Atlast, Napier broke the good developing partnership between Ervine and Bishop.

Napier bowled the beautiful delivery to Bishop which decieved him and took the bails 0ff from the stumps.

Bishop scored 23(43) with two fours returned to the pavillion. Somerset next batsman Laraman joins Ervine in the middle.

The Captain of Essex atlast got a relief through Napier. but still the dangerman Ervine is having a good time with the bat.

So the contest between the ball and bat increases further!!!!

Somerset : 86/2
Ervine : 47*(80)

Thats a Nice Line...Napier sent Bishop to pavillion

Good stuff mate. The opposition is certainly surendaring under the pressure.
I'm loving the hawk-eye mate. It's really appealing. (excuse the pun)

SOMERSET IN TROUBLE...

Well, Somerset who seemed to be in very good position are struggling now!!!

They lost another wicket. Laraman returned to pavillion after he saw the stumps flying off!!!!!

So Somerset lost 2 wickets for last 1 run!!! The bowlers doing the good job there..... Ervine is still there!!! Wilkinson joins Ervine in the middle.

Beautiful Line that took the stumps off!!!

LUNCH

Somerset recovered from the quick loss of wickets!!!! Ervine played a rescue role for Somerset and took them back to good position again.

Bowlers are clueless to bowl to Ervine. Also there was some support from the other end for Ervine.

Ervine reached 50 and from there he started his fireworks. 1's,2's,3'sand 4's came in regular intervals.

Essex did some bowling changes but everything in vain because of Ervine. So Essex captain now thinking to somehow take Ervine's wicket.

Somerset reached 147/3 at LUNCH.
Ervine 84*

Ervine's 50 coming in style...
