And great to see Zaheer Khan and Agarkar bowling consistently at speeds of 143-145 kph (around 90mph).
Hope they do the same in the WC.

Arnold needs to go up, hes been wasted down the order. This bowling lineup isn't looking too bad now.

Nice to see that we have our fast bowling going for us on these flat Indian wickets .
And we have good fast bowlers on th bench as well.
Even if one of the quick bowlers are out of rhythm , we have players like Irfan,Munaf and Sreesanth on the bench.

All we need is Irfan to get bak confidence to bowl under tight situations and get his rhythm back.
But with him not playing in thse 2 series at home, I do not see the captain having confidence to try him out in the WC games.

Harbhajan is really dishing out some crap . Silva taking him for 17 runs.

Does he deserve a place in the WC squad ahead of Powar ?

What is worying from the Indian point of view is that we are letting teams off the hook far too often ,thrice in this series.
The Lankans will again go on to score around 250, IMO.

Here are a few occassions in the past year that we have had teams on the mat and let them off the hook,

DLF Cup , Malaysia : India v Australia
Australia were 108/6 with Hussey,Hayden,Ponting,Clarke back in the hut but we let Haddin and Hogg take then to 213 (we lost the match by 16 runs)

India v Sri Lanka , 2007
We`ve let SRL get off to respectable scores after having them 4 or 5 down for little.

It was a good recovery from Lankans. We need a breakthrough. Oh we miss Sachin in bowling. It seems to be a tough day for Bhaji. So we are going to face the 5th bowler problem as our main 4th bowler itself struggling. Sourav & Sehwag shd do something atleast to contain runs!

just becos of poor one over or poor one match or poor one series, its not fair to compare Bhaji with Powar! Same Bhaji has done so many games and tricks for us. Even in last WC final, i believe he was the only bowler who looked impressive. But ofcourse, Powar also had nice ODIs recently!

May be, its better to question, " Doesn't Powar deserve his place to be in WC squad " rather than " Doesn't Powar deserve his place to be in WC squad ahead of Bhaji "

Ganguly got the breakthrough as i predicted Lankans might reach around 200! Now this will relieve Bhaji too as the pressure is on Lankans.

I think Powar deserved the place not for bhajji but for Kumble.

Once again our weaker point is fifth bowling option.Thats why i believe in place of Karthik Pathan should be in the team.I know its hard to leave him out.But if we can include Sehwag even though he is continuing his bad form and irresponsible batting and Ramesh Powar who is not in the WC squad despite good performances.

yes, this has been one of our weakest point i.e lack of quality allrounders. Pathan was shaping up nicely unfortunately he lost his rhythm in bowling though he is still in good form with bat. Thats y i said, miss Tendulkar very much

Also, Bhaji has come back well as expected. He gave 30 runs in first three and 10 runs in last four overs.

Edit : Not bad, my prediction of Sehwag & Sourav with the ball came true.. Another wicket gone for Lankans as Sehwag striked

Viru and Dada took a wicket...
Zaheer and Ajit bowled really well. I still can't believe that there are people out there who don't want Ajit in the team...
Bhajji did well. He isn't as bad as others make him out to be, he gets wickets and keep things tight.
Anyways, Maharoof and Silva doing well now and Lanka into the final 10. If they bat out the fifty, a score of 250 should be possible.

I still can't believe that there are people out there who don't want Ajit in the team...

If there are people who dont want Dhoni & Bhaji & Tendulkar in the Team, then its not a suprise at all that people dont want Ajit too

Anyways, Zaheer striked with the wicket of Mahroof. Now, close to 250-260 is possible. There is no Sachin in batting.. So Sehwag somehow has to do some magic atleast today!

Gosh Silva was just awesome to watch. Really was a great find and Maharoof just gets better and better at the death with the slogs!! A big diff in this SL side is the never give up attitude.

56/4 in the 12th over with the big 4 gone and still managed 202 further runs pretty awesome. They cldve easily gone into a shell and blocked arnd till the last 10 overs but consistently took the bowlers on and maintained a good rate throughout. I thnk in the final 11 its gng to be a fight for 2 places from dilshan, arnold and silva and all 3 have fired in this series so dats a good problem to have for the selectors.

Lets see how the bowling goes. Good to have Lasi back. Bring on the toecrushers
