The biggest Flop of the Tournament

NZL is the only team to have reached the semi-finals maximum number of times without ever making it to the final.
Wonder what will happen if there is a NZL-SAF final match ?:p

Holy dead mother of Batman ........ that would be the third coming of Christ ( According to us Indians ;))

The Second one being this :

The English didn't even make a fuss when they won the World 2020, both the Indians and Pakis portrayed it as if it was the 2nd coming of Christ.

Well According to Shaun Pollock.he is 100% sure that SA will play the final :p

----------

and coming to Pakistani team i am pretty sure that they'll play better than my expectations and i expect that they will be out in first Round

Shaun Pollock was probably 100% sure about Duckworth Lewis back in 2003 too.

England are right up there in the flop probables. As far as players are concerned, I vote for James Anderson and any other England seam bowler.

Frankly are England good enough that failure would be considered a flop?

1996 - only made the QFs because the structure made it near impossible not to. As I recall England didn't beat a single Test nation in the tournament

1999 - England didn't make the super whateveritwases back then (sixes?)

2003 - England chose not to play in Zimbabwe I think it was, were not good enough to make the super whateveritwases back then either

2007 - England made the round robin nonsense, funny that India and Pakistan (2003 and 1999 finalists respectively) didn't which no doubt upset TV and the organisers and couldn't have come at a worse time with T20s threatening the end of the (cricket) world as we knew it

Warm up games are not the real ones, but seeing the way India have played the warmups, they are strong enough for even a final spot. Hope they make it there!

But India is not depending on their Pace attack for anything. They have to make sure they restrict the opposition to somewhere below 300. With their spinners they can actually do that. Pace attack is only there to get the shine off the ball for spinners. India's mainstay is there batting. They are depending on it to score over 300 and chase that much score every time.

India's line up could chase in excess of 300 as well. Batting won't be a problem, the bowling,as we have seen in the warm-ups could end up losing a game for us.
