Story : The Legends XI : Official Thread :

Yep, Thanks for all the comments guys, let them coming in, Interesting match too, Lets see if English bowlers are good Engough for Legends XI, and note: a player can play for his own team if he is not in the XI for Legends XI like KP.

A Huge upset!

1st ODI
Leeds

End of match update

England 119 all out

Pietersen 51*
Flintoff 5-10

Legends XI 103 all out

Ponting 42*
Key 4-39

What a match! Legends XI were cruising in the first over with Gilchrist launching the balls for boundries. He went as quick as he came in.
There was total chaos at the pitch with run outs everywhere. Flintoff and Ponting were looking good and started building a partnership. When Flintoff went so went the rest of the team.

Robert Key opened the bowling for some reason and did fantastic. Everyone tried to launch him and he got there wickets.

McGrath was the last man to go in a silly run out.

The scorecard looks a bit pale.

Ramiz Raja is down at the ground for the presentation ceremony.

RR: Ladies and Gentleman we have seen a great game of cricket here today. I don?t think either side deserves to loose.

RR: I would first like to call up the losing captain Inzamam Ul-Haq.

RR: Inzy things were looking good for you when you were bowling and things just went wrong suddenly.

IUH: Yes Im very disappointed to loose this game as I think we could have won it.

RR: Was it a difficult batting track?

IUH: Yes it was certainly a bowling pitch but we could have performed better.

RR: Well thank you Inzamam and good luck for the next game.

IUH: Thank you. I just want to say well played England.

RR: Now I would like to call up the winning captain Michael Vaughan.

RR: Michael what a great bowling performance.

MV: Yeah it was looking hopeless when we started to bowl but when the early wickets fell we were really charged up.

RR: Your players really did well out there. Did any1 stand up for you?

MV: No the whole team did well. I would just like to say well batted Kevin.

RR: I guess it was difficult to bat out there today right?

MV: Yes it was a bowlers pitch and we struggled to bat on it.

RR: Well thank you Michael and good luck for the rest of the series.

MV: Thanks.

RR: And now it is time for the man of the match. There were some good performances including Flintoff 5-10, Ponting 42*, Key 4-39 and Pietersen 51*. The selectors had a tough decision but decided it should go to the winning team. The man of the match is ? Kevin Pietersen.

RR: Kevin well batted out there.

KP: Thank you. The crowd supported me.

RR: It was your day today and do you hope to get squad place in the next game for the Legends XI?

KP: Yes I hope so but if I don?t I?m happy to continue here at England.

RR: Well Kevin go and collect your prize at the chairman of the ICC.

RR: Good luck for the next game Kevin.
