And we've lost again... skill issue. We had a solid start this time, but K Gowtham destroyed our top order, including the big wicket of Samson. After that we were in freefall, until Ed Smith and Saxena got us to a somewhat respectable total.

Our bowlers were all quite expensive, and a rain delay meant it was a 35-over chase of 185. Karnataka got it with 5 overs to spare, despite our best efforts.

WE'VE WON ONE!

In the first innings, we looked quite shaky up top and didn't exactly race out of the blocks. Ed Smith and Supreme had to dig deep to set a platform, before Rudi blasted his second 50 of the season to get us 230.

The bowling in the powerplay was disciplined, but didn't take any early wickets. Fusco Wirihana and Jalaj Saxena, however, ran through the Hyderabad batting, before the pacers returned to finish it off.

Congrats to MOTM @RUDI :cheers

Should Aravind be dropped or do we stick with the winning combo?

Yeah yeah win against Hyderabad

This was a fun idea, but don't think I'll continue it. It's hard to find the balance between giving a blow-by-blow assessment of the team's performance (to the point I include 2nd XI) and trying not to let posting a single match become an enormous task. The speed at which this is going also means our first season will be done in 2 months, and I'm not too crazy abut having this type of commitment during Ramadan.
