After the Left-Handed Cricketers Draft and All-Time English ODI XI Draft, I feel as though it's time for another draft and this time I've gone a little bit more niche.

Eligible players will include any player who began his career before the first-ever Twenty20 match, which took place on 13th June 2003 and who never played an official Twenty20 match. So, to quickly demonstrate: eligible, eligible, ineligible, ineligible. Your goal will be to pick the best possible Twenty20 team of players who never player Twenty20 cricket. This will be a bit more subjective than our usual style of drafts as there are not exactly the stats to go off.

Again, there is an upper limit on sign-ups; it was going to be six, but @blockerdave asked very nicely so I made room for him too.

If someone goes 24 hours without posting their pick, the next person is able to make their pick. If somebody posts an invalid pick, the next person is able to make their pick. If you make your pick, tag the next person.

I can't be in because I hardly know players from that generation. I grew up watching players like Williamson, Kohli, Root, Smith, etc etc :facepalm

Will be a challenge for me too, but this might force me to learn a lot more about an era of cricket that has always fascinated me!

Already made an absurd choice by picking Mascarenhas in my side and not having a keeper in the England ODI XI dtaft. :p

Potentially; I'm trying to alternate between more niche topics and national drafts but there's no reason you couldn't organise one of your own! And I'm always available via message if you have questions

I mean that's fair, but there's always the option of abusing Statsguru to get your answers!

This is going to be tough now that I read the OP carefully. Players never to play T20s and also retired before 13th June 2003, both these criterias need to be fulfilled?

I mean, I'll be okay with players never to play Twenty20 so long as it's common sense. Michael Bevan was a pre-T20 player even though he kept going a little way past 2003, but Haseeb Hameed would not really be an appropriate pick. I'll edit the OP to make it clearer before we get going.

Sir Viv Richards
The man who could decimate world class bowling attacks at his will, arguably the best striker of a cricket ball the world has ever seen till date! Richards played in a different league altogether and he tore apart best of the best bowlers. To play in an era he did and end up with a SR of above 90 shows how good he was and how quickly he could score the runs. His aggression was combined with a different swagger of his own and that is what made him more so lethal. He held the record for the fastest test century for many years and it was only bettered only some years ago.

Sir Viv surely and easily could have smashed so many records had he played T20 cricket. Many players who played with or against him rate him as one of the greatest batsman in the world ever. The aura and his dasher attitude was enough to get bowlers' heart racing.

He was also more than a handy bowler and his stats as a bowler in the world cup cricket are brilliant too. In T20s such a player can single handedly turn the match on its head. The other teams better watch out because Sir Viv is gonna smash 'em![DOUBLEPOST=1563301461][/DOUBLEPOST]@Villain
