Ive been sick for ages man you know that

A solution could be reached if President Mugabe wasn't their leader. I think that government has had a big bearing on the politics in Cricket to try and get blacks into the team. This has lead to the white players being pissed off and great white talent has missed out on the opportunity to represent their country. If the government wasn't so anti-white and actually treated their players right then they could have kept their great team together. I think the only way the situation can be solved is through Mugabe being knocked off his perch, more money being put into facilities, training equipment and into schools especially (I know the schools part because my best mate is a white Zimbabwean who played school Cricket and said they have lots of passion and skill and if they were guided properly they could really do well).

Spot on. As a former white Zimbabwean, I agree completely. We have seen flashes of Zimbabwe's potential.. They COULD be an alright side, the talent is there, it's just simply wasted.

Can you please give me some depth into the situation

Who me?

There isn't much depth to it. Mugabe thinks that because of all the years the blacks had it tough so he thinks its the whites turn pretty much lol.

When I was in Zimbabwe, as I've said on here before, I found it the other way round I thought us whites had it easier.. But I was youngish (14). But after I left things have gotten worse in regards to what cricketers can play and such. Also, Zimbabwe lose a lot of cricketers (like Heath Streak) just for saying "the government is in trouble" or words to that effect. They ban people (who always seem to be whites) from playing just for expressing their opinion. Of course, not all whites are banned.. We still see the likes of Brendan Taylor in there.. But really the amount of white talent going around yet aren't in the team is disgraceful. You could find a list of about 10 really really good white cricketers who aren't 'aloud' to play. It's really bad. I hate to say it, but a good deal of the current team shouldn't be there.

I guess it is sort of like under 10 team try outs. The coaches friends get in and many good ones miss out.

But, the problem is steaming from society. We all heard about how white farmers had to give their land to the blacks. Mugabe is a pot head.

Well id like to get more of your viewpoint, but not focusing on the cricket just society. Any personal experiences??

Not really. As I said, I was young and I was pretty ignorant to what was going on. I do remember many whites starting to be kick off their land and there was a big uproar about it but other than that my father still was on his land, but I remember my family being concerned that the police would come down and take it from us and give 'it back to the country'. We left for South Africa soon after though, so nothing ever happened directly to us. Another personal experience I have of it is hearing gun shots between a dispute with a white man and a black man over some sort of territory dispute. I am pretty sure the black man was shot but I didn't stick around long to find out.

Feel free to ask me any specific questions though.

What impressions of the government do the citizens have? I read somewhere they see Mugumbe as a hero but i dont really believe that is possible

Yes, some of the blacks in Zimbabwe think Mugabe is a great man for finally treating them well and giving them what they need, but then they are making the whites suffer.

Ya in certain areas in Zim he is definatly seen as a hero. He is really good to CERTAIN people and downright atrocious to the others.
