How can it be possible that you can choose Stuart Law, an Australian, in the England XI! This is possible with ICC06 (not sure about ICC III). I know he probably has qualified as an English Citizen so he can play for a County team or something like that, but how can you choose a past Aussie Test player for an English line up?

I am pretty sure it would be legal for him to play for England now but he said in an interview that if given the chance, he would say no.

Hes qualified to be able to play for England and Australia wont want him so I dont see why England cant pick him lol:p

You should read the news more often. He has the same right to play for England as Andrew Flintoff or James Anderson. Kepler Wessels played for two countries so what's stopping our Stewy?

He said on Cricket AM that he'd never play for England though as he's an Aussie at heart.

Haha, 'our'. I've read it up on Wikipedia now, fully understood.

Stuart Law is 100% eligible for England and this is not a bug.
Did I say it was a bug? And can you please respond to my PM.

y dont aus select him
Because he isn't good enough.

He is getting close to 39... I doubt he's apart of the selectors long term plans especially with the amount of younger batsman coming through. He was just unlucky a few years ago to not be a regular for aussie.

He had the misfortune of being Australian. If he was any other nationality he'd be a shoe-in for selection.

he would of got more than the 1 test cap for australia if it wasnt for the strength of there batting line up during he career, he got 54* in his only innings and had definatly been a test quality player for many years and at this moment in time would get in the england team ahead of bell

I realise he is elgibe to play for England i just said i was shocked to see he was actually picked when i first saw it because back then i didn't know that. (This was a while ago mind you)

True, there are many Aussie like that. For example, Michael Love and Stuart MacGill - the greatest player not to have played over 50 Tests (...So far:rolleyes:)

aus had MacGill not getting in the team and england had Ashley Giles in the team, at times life so unfair lol
