The Australia-New Zealand bilateral cricket series is set to be played on the Australian shores, once again! The Trans-Tasman rivals will play each other in 4 Test matches, 5 One-Day Internationals and 3 Twenty20 Internationals. Two of the most dominant cricketing sides of the recent times have confirmed a bilateral cricket series, after nearly 4 years. The last time these two went head-to-head in a bilateral series was in 2011/12 season, where New Zealand toured Australia for 2 practice matches and 2 Test matches. The first practice match between New South Wales Xi and New Zealand was cancelled. The second practice match resulted in a draw. The Vodafone Test series between Australia and New Zealand ended, tied at 1-1. Australia won the first test by a convincing margin of 9 wickets. New Zealand won the second match with a 7-run margin, and were able to tie the series. New Zealand's win in the second test match at Hobart was their first win in Australia since 1985, and their first win against Australia since 1993. This is basically a player league, like the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
