He's very good in T20s. Maybe not so in the longer formats.

Yeah, T20s. Afghanistan has not played that many T20Is against some of the top-ranked sides. Most of his T20I (and perhaps ODIs as well) wickets have come against the likes of Ireland, Zimbabwe, whom Afghanistan has played a lot since his debut. And maybe a few against Bangladesh, West Indies, and Sri Lanka in recent years. So we really can't say if he's good or bad when it comes to top-quality T20I cricket. Yes, he has performed against the players he would have played in T20Is too, but international cricket is different.

But he's been around in T20 leagues since 2016, and we know how good of a bowler he is there.

I think Naseem Shah > Shaheen Afridi.

Arguably a much better death bowler but the ball does too much for him at the start with the new ball, if he homed it a little more we have have a formidable opening bowling pair.
