I recommend checking out more of Illenium, he's a good first EDM artist to listen to. He has a few songs on the poppier side to ease you into the genre if it's too much in the beginning.

I know for as cast-iron fact that I am the only person on Planetcricket tonight that has listened to 'Bedtime for Democracy' by Dead Kennedys and the soundtrack for 'Cabaret' back-to-back.
