Ye so Rugby has nothing to do with football.. like there is the use of hands in it.. so it can't be called Football, like who cares about tradition, lol I’m kidding. I get annoyed though because I don’t like Rugby or AFL or Australian or Canadian football neither their rules.

Bah, people may not like the Yanks, but they sure as hell like them more than the scouse!

No we really don't :p

It should be called football ffs, it is a game played predominantly with feet unlike other sports, rugby american football etc. And you can't go round saying "are you watching the soccer/association football match" in England because you'd look like a right pleb.

God, does it really matter?

Its still the same game we love watching and playing. No need to get into such a big pointless debate.

No it doesnt matter in the slightest, its the same game, regardless of its name. Soccer is just kicking a ball around, Names mean nothing, its the players who make it popular ;) Just like Donovan!

Well said. Unbolded = Obvious biased veiw;)

I don't mind what people call it, I voted for football because it's what I'm used to but if it causes confusion in other countries then it is alright to call it soccer.

I agree with wat you say.

Correct me if I am wrong but that is saying we shouldn't call volleyball volleyball because you don't volley everytime.

Yes you do :p

If you don't volley it, you lose.

Yes but you do predominantly volley the ball. You don't kick the ball in f00tball 100% of the time, there are throw-ins and goalkeepers picking up the ball...

This has to be one of the most pointless arguments ever. Does it matter?
