Reading down the PCPL forum it's clear that some teams need a lot of work on their thread title catch lines. The question is though, who's is worst?
Let's compare them for starters:
"Manchester Divided Team Thread - Season 3"
As lacking in imagination as their batting
"Vatican Victors Team Thread - Season 3!"
At least containing an exclamation mark which should see off the challenge of Manchester.
"The Pope's ready" was last season's offering. Thankfully we never got to find out what he was ready for.
"Toronto Tanks 2009-2010 Team Thread: Come prepared or never start"
This one keeps making me laugh. It's almost as if they asked Saatchi and Saatchi for advice.
"Chennai Champion's Pavillion [The Dinesh Karthik Pavillion] - Season 3"
Aside from misunderstanding the purpose of an apostrophe CC might also be providing an explanation as to why none of their players post. No-one likes Dinesh Karthik.
"Beijing Blitzers Team Thread Season 3 -"From Beijing to North Pole, We are the best at Cricket"
Geographically speaking this is probably correct as only Russia is in the way. We're better than Russia is hardly a massive achievement though.
"Dublin Destroyers - We have stats and free guinness!"
We find large amounts of guinness makes our stats seem funny and not depressing.
