Wow I went to sleep for a few hours and it became a bloodbath in here.
Let me sum it up for everyone who does not want to read the last few pages .

Surprised no mod has been in here yet, anyways, I really dislike 2020 as well but I will be the first to admit that it does require a specialized skill set and is itself a character test. Sure it may not be of Test match caliber, but the pressure is there and the pressure is real.
Agree with nightprowler, Do away with ODIs and lets just play Tests and 2020.
I do not think that 2020s will ever kill Test cricket, they are almost like apples and oranges, to each their own and the two may exist together simultaneously without hurting one another.
My only quarrel is that I am afraid with the IPL (and other future lucrative domestic tournys which will pop up) players will start valuing domestic club cricket over international cricket. International cricket has and should always be the priority with the players and sadly tours are being shortened or canceled already for a domestic tournament.
