Mervyn Dillon celebrates with Wavell Hinds follwing another easy Dillon wicket.

Man of the Match - M Dillon (WI - 7/20, 5 overs, 1 maiden)

Report
Gayle, Powell, McLean and Lawson were all rested for what was predicted would be an easy win. Despite some early resistance from the Bangladesh batsmen, Dillon and Collymore skittled the whole batting order by simply bowling at the stumps, and watching the batsmen miss the ball. Not really much fun for anyone really, excpet Dillon perhaps.

Chanderpaul played his first game and scored a quick 23 to seal victory, with Hinds scoring 25 to boost his impressive batting average (now 97). Next up- Canada. Hmmmmmm. With some new restrictions in play, things will get more interesting soon. But somehow I don't think the Canadians have much chance of causing an upset.

John Davison batted superbly for the Canadians, and got to meet his hero, Viv Richards, after the game!

Man of the Match - J Lawson (WI- 9/32, 9.5 overs, 2 maidens)

Report
Windies won the toss, and anticipating another easy win, put the Canadians in to bat. McLean got the early breakthrough, with Maraj edging to Gayles safe hands. Then Lawson got to work. He effortlessly destroyed the Canadian batting attack. The quick bowler finished with 9 wickets for 32 runs, although given the opposition it is hardly the best bowling performance since Laker. John Davison batted like a hero for Canada, scoring 41 from 53 balls and finishing not out. Unfortunately he didn't receive any help at all from his team mates.

Chris Gayle scored a quick 62, and Hinds added 18, to finish the game off. Selection wise, I think I have the team sorted. Lawson and McLean are the certain opening bowlers, with Dillon the 3rd quick bowler. However, Drakes, Collymore and Collins are all fighting for Dillons spot. Chanderpaul looks like keeping his spot as a specialist batsmen at #7, although if I need an extra bowler Chanderpaul is the most likely to be dropped.

Hopefully the next game will be more of a challenge!

Lara and Sarwan guided the Windies to another easy victory.

Man of the Match - J Lawson (5/39, 10 overs, 3 maidens)

Report
Don't ask me why Sri Lanka batted so poorly... the handicaps in place give the CPU plenty of potential to score, but it seems only certain individuals are willing to attack and score the runs. Sangakkara and De Silva both made decent scores with ease, yet the rest just collapsed. I'm hopeful the Super Sixes stage gives us some better challenges.

Odumbe's is bowled by Gayle, ending a promising partnership between Odumbe and Vadheer.

Man of the Match - A Vadheer (51 runs not out)

Report
Despite losing 5 wickets, this was still another walkover.... Only Vadheer offered solid resistance, scoring 51 runs in a solid innings. The Windies batted poorly, with Lara's 49 the best of the bunch, enough to lead the team to victory. The Suji brothers bowled well, with good changes of pace, but they were defending a score too small to leave them with a chance.
