Ok i got a 360 on saturday, and last night i tried to hook it up to the internet to get Live.

Now i have wireless internet so i tried my laptop first, but i couldnt get it working.

Next i tried it in the back of my router, again it wouldnt work, something about MTU problems.

Next i tried it in the Broadband box thing which we have and again it didnt work.

If anyone has any ideas could you help, if not ill ring Xbox today and see what they say, otherwise it'll be BLIC 07 on my billio :p

Thanks in advance people :)

I just plug mine through an ethernet cable from the 360 to the router and it works for me you might have to ring xbox.

I cant create an account because it wont let me log on Live. I go to the dashboard, click the live button, and it wont start up due to either IP problems, or MTU problems.

No worries, someone on PC must know :p

Im clinging onto the hopes that when i ring Xbox ill get a person with half a brain :p these call centres employ idiots, thats why i could be hired there :p

Yeh when i bought my Xbox 360 he wireless controller didnt work it took me ages to get a person who knew what they were doing.

have you made sure the router is letting you connect past it? as in, it could be a blocked port the 360 is trying to use. my friend couldn't connect his 360 so we needed to open the ports.

what router are you using?

I've already been asked, but like etho, I plugged the ethernet cable into the router and I was away. Wireless broadband should be banned!

i don't know that model too well, try to look around on how to forward ports if you don't know how to on that kind of router.

Microsoft say that these following ports need to be open:
?UDP 88
?UDP 3074
?TCP 3074

So if you work out how to port forward on your router, try open those ports and try your 360, if not then try a different ethernet cable that you know works or something like that.

Hope that helped.
