If your new to the game i'd give the youth academy a miss. Lots of discarded comp or even high med. player going dirt cheap on the transfer market.

i agree with rabitho, i dont spend on youth anymore either
i think its pretty crazy too,
when the new extra cost came up for the youth academy 2 of my friends invested Max and got it up to superb,not to mention either of them got any decent youth pulls despite givin Its.where as i kept it on 12,000 itself.Now both of their academies have fallen back to proficient and i have reached proficient without spending any extra cash and also got a very decent 17 year old bowler( no its :P),so conclusion,invest only the amount from which u can get a good profit at ur weekly economic updates and u get them dirt cheap on the t list peace
