Dravid is basically a Kallis. I'd rate Dravid a fair bit higher though.

And probably Kapil ahead of Flintoff too.

Sachin Is the best 16000+ Runs is no joke no1 can last that long this record is going to stay with tendulkar forever.

Dravid is the most overated player in ODIs. Bcz of Dravid India got knocked out of world cup 07 so early. Dravid is good for test, In one-day anyday Yuvraj and Shewag are better look at the stats in which Yuvraj has scored a fifty India has won 90 percent of the game. He has won matches single handedly whereas dravid never won an Odi for india just by himself as tendulkar ganguly shewag or yuvraj have besides a strike rate of 70 is pathetic anyone with that sort of strike rate can average over 50.

Yuvraj in matches tht india have won :
2000-2009 129 4566 138* 50.73 8 48 4/6 31.81 0 43 0

Rahul Dravid
1996-2007 157 5672 153 51.56 8 2 2/43 31.00 0 102 10

Both Yuvraj and Dravid have same averages in matches tht India won althought dravid had the advantage of batting higher up the order and at a very bad strike rate. Whereas Yuvraj has always batted at no 5 or lower and still has as many centuries in matches one. And has won almost same number of games as dravid has so Yuvraj in noway is less than dravid by inculding his strike rate combined to his fielding he is a better batsman.

I'm not even going to bother with nimish_sach. He's comparing Yuvraj to Dravid. He embarassed himself. I don't even need to prove him wrong.

Just shot yourself in the foot.

I didnt shoot myself in the foot all i m saying is with the kind of strike rate dravid has combined with the fact that he has batted most of his life on number 3 he still averages and has same ODI hundereds as Yuvraj in the matches that India has won. Dravid is no great in ODIs he was very best in test and its abt time he should retire from tests too.

ONCE AGAIN, Rahul Dravid's role was not to hit out or play aggressively. His role was to hold up one end because he was the best at holding up the fort over a long period of time. It is not because he doesn't know how to play otherwise, it is because he was forced to play this role.

Dravid had the potential to play an aggressive innings though, he played a few in England in the 7 match series in 2007. I remember one shot off one of the quicks where he back cutted them for six, was an immense shot. When Dravid gets going he can destroy an attack as well as anyone, it's just normally he prefers to play far more conservatively. Dravid's a class player, and should definitely be in the poll, he's certainly had a better career than Saurav Ganguly, Virender Sehwag and Gautham Gambhir. But for me the best of all-time has to be Sachin Tendulkar.

Edit: Yep, seems I remembered correctly. He scored a fantastic 92* in one of the ODi's which came from just 63 balls, and his strike rate for the series was up at 97!

Harbhajan has a better SR than Dravid but a lower average. So, Harbhajan is better than Dravid as a batsman? Makes a lot of sense.

I remember that shot, Ravi Teja played the exact same shot against N'tini, but Ravi's was twice as high, and way further, it was just a jawdropping moment.

As much I hate dada he is >>>>>>> Dravid in ODIs only.
