Ajit Wadekar
A left-handed top order batsman and a stroke player. Ajit Wadekar was actually a player of late 1970's who played a decent number of ODIs. He is one of the greatest batsman ever produced by India. He was very aggressive and very resilient and dependable at the same time. He played with a strike rate of 85 which was the 4th highest during the period in which he played, proves that he would've been striking nearly at a run-a-ball in today's era where the pitches are flat and slow and the bowler's quality being not to the mark as compared to his period. At number 3 he could very well decimate some of the great bowling attacks. An ideal no.3 in my choice along with the likes of Kohli and Dravid.

Robin Singh
Robin Singh was a Trinidad born Indian. He moved from Trinidad to Tamil Nadu in 1984 to pursue further studies. He started playing Cricket for Tamil Nadu-based Ranji team and soon made it to the Indian team in 1989 but did not get to play for his Country till 1996. He went on to play 136 One-Day Internationals for India playing in 1999 World Cup along with 1998 & 2000 Champions Trophy back then known as ICC knockout trophy. He was a left handed batsman and a right-arm military medium pacer. He was quite handy both with the bat and the ball and was a fine fielder which reminds us of Ravindra Jadeja in the current Indian side. A power hitter and a bowler who could get in some overs and sometimes would get some crucial wickets were his skills. His ODI average isn't that great because he mostly had to bat down the order in death overs in chases when the required run-rate was quickly ever so increasing. His 100 batting at no.3 in 1997 against Sri Lanka is the innings that one needs to see while judging his calibre as a batsman. He would play as an all-rounder in my team and would bat at 6.
