First Person Shooters

OK, i get paid next Thursday and im in the market for a new FPS game, now i havnt got the last COD game and ive always been a fan of the series, but was looking at something a bit different.
The last FPS game i bought was Left 4 Dead last month, because it was cheap in a small shop near me.
I like a few suggestions on what i can go for, ive heard good things about Fallout 3, so its either that or COD at the moment, but would quite like a few other options.

I would definitely reccomend Fallout 3 but it's not exactly a typical FPS. Far Cry 2 and both Rainbow 6 Vegas titles are definite purchases in my book. I'd try them.

Rainbow 6 Vegas looks good from screenshots ive seen, i have a feeling that when i get paid i might end up getting more than one game anyway, and Fallout 3 looks like its going to be one of them, so Rainbow 6 might be the other.

I am indeed, I never play on my PS3 anymore, is just dorment in the corner of my room.
