Finally someone who makes some sense and is not trying to justify child abuse by saying "it was a different era" it was the 50s, that is not that long ago. If India wants to be considered part of the 2nd or 1st world they have to make massive strides to ensure continued improvement.

Your telling me there are no child servants? who are working in homes of rich instead of going to schools? Thats not what my Indian mates tell me when they come back from holi in India.

Child labour did exist here, you dont find it in cities, no not at all, its a law under Child Regulation act 1986 article 23 and 24 deals with the right against exploitation.this says the no children below the age of 14 cannot be employed in factories or mines or in any dangerous work, and further it was modified that no child under 14 are allowed as servant in any places.

if your "mates" still have them as servant (underage 14) it's a crime.

and your talking about slums....go visit kashmir, kulu manali, dharamsala, andaman & nicobar islands, many parts of kerela etc....
it'll give the WHOLE OF EUROPE a run for its money...

and child labour is due to the following things :-

1) OVER POPULATION & POVERTY

2) DUMB HEADED PARENTS

and the MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL....we are still a developing country because you brits ruled us for over 200 years....sabotaged our country....took all of our wealth....made hindu muslims fight each other....treated us like slaves....created bloodbaths and massacres like
the jallianwala bagh etc....

I did not realize you knew every single Indian household and whether or not they use child labor. You must be one bloody social butterfly.

Yeah there is child labor in India. These kids themselves choose to do so and will run second day out of school if you put them there.

Chill Kartik, don't get hyped it's the same, they are well known they learn to criticize and make other feel down about their country. they never cant be patriotic and protective about themselves in almost all aspects.
