Well I didn't watch much of his Cricket but I liked him for the most part I did. Yes, he did go for plenty of runs a lot of times... but still he had the aggression, something which we sorely miss in our team for ages. Our batting department has stabilised in the aggression department, what with guys like Yuvraj. But our bowling still lacks all that "in-your-face" aggression / attitude as people have said. I say we should give him another shot at the international level.

Sreesanth back to form again

Cricinfo:
Sreesanth, the Rest of India fast bowler, has been fined 60% of his match fee for using offensive language towards a player during the Irani Cup match against Mumbai in Nagpur. Dhawal Kulkarni, the Mumbai seamer, was let off with an official warning for instigating the bowler.

Well Indians are actual missing Zaheer Khan, his experience and guidance of the young fast bowlers in team has been missed a lot. His bowling during the batting powerplay has been the best.

Well the problem with Sreesanth is that he gets a lot carried away if he gets one wicket. And talking about bringing back Agarkar is because he is good form for the Mumbai Ranji and he is a bowler who can bat also, remember him scoring a hundred at Lords and scoring 90 odd against the Windies coming at no.3 same wise Irfan Pathan could be handy.

I am sure Agarkar, Irfan and Sreesanth would not bowl worse than what Ishant or RP is doing..

Sreesanth is currently playing in the Irani trophy match. Took 3 wickets in the first innings. Munaf Patel too 5 wickets in the same innings. Maybe he could make a come back as well.
Munaf Patel isn't a good enough bowler to hide the fact of his fielding.

Well its surprising seeing some Aussie fans here wanting Sree to come back. But yeah, Sree brings that aggression to the table that has been lacking from any of our fast bowlers in the last few games. They have toned down too much. Sometimes aggression can mask quite a few weakness of yours and make you look like a king. We need Sree back to boost our pace attack and also give the team the required aggression. Dhoni should be responsible to make sure Sree does not get out of limit with the offensive language.

I cant agree with Agarkar coming back. Its actually completely hopeless to bring him back. He has done this even before where he was absolutely fantastic in domestic cricket but he would make a fool out of himself in international cricket. Enough of trying him!

Quite true. Already our fielding is at a pretty low point. We dont need Munaf to worsen it further.

I don't think we should ever return to Munaf for ODIs. Best case scenario seems to be 10-1-30-2 and worst case is often something like 8-0-80-0, added to his poor fielding, it is just not worth it. Munaf should be our third seamer option, behind Ishant and Zaheer, for Tests, but please not for ODIs.

Sreesanth should come in for ODIs, but not for Tests. Sreesanth was good in OD cricket for Warwickshire and in the two Pro40 games I saw him play, he looked quite impressive. But as with Munaf (in reverse), Sreesanth should not play Test cricket, imo.

@ manee: Why not Sree for tests if he shows that he is back to good form in the ODI's? In fact that Jo'burg game showed that Sree is a good fit for test matches and that he can be threatening in the test format too. If Sree shows good form after coming back in the ODI's, he could be inducted back in test cricket. And if Ishant gets back his form, we could have a pace attack comprising of Zaheer, Sreesanth and Ishant which would be highly threatening enough with Nehra and Praveen as backup.

In India he goes for 6.4 RPO and also does nothing to add to our good image.

No thank you, he is best suited for Acting.

Sreesanth is not even good...he is rubbish and annoying....and a cry baby

As long as India and the ICC dont mind it, thats not a problem. His bowling is more important than how he behaves on the field.

RP and Ishant go for 7.5 to 8 runs an over. Sree would be better than them! His behavior should not be used against him.
