Tournment Ends

Zaheer Khan isn't that good when you compare him to the others who have emerged this decade. Steyn, Lee (He has played the majority of his career this decade), Asif, Bond. He has an average over 30 in Test Cricket. Hardly anywhere near 'threatening'. Asif plays on the same deadpan pitches, yet his average is in the low 20's. Steyn plays in bouncy pitches, but he has pace and still can be a problem on dead pitches. Zaheer has 220 wickets at 34. That's not anything more than an ordinary bowler. Yeah, he has become much better as of late, but he has lost pace. Chris Martin has 170 wickets at 33, but no one calls Martin special. Zaheer is easily India's best quick bowler right now, and this decade, but that doesn't really say much.

I still want an Aussie to get the first ever 200. But Dilshan would be a good one for 200 if I had to pick one.

It'll be good to see how the match results, at the moment Dilshan is looking to be on track of making an ODI 200 which would be good to see. Sri Lanka have got off to a good start and if they can keep this up throughout the rest of the game then I'm sure the match will be in even contest right until the last few overs.

Raina just picked up the wicket of Tharanga after being stumped by Dhoni, it's good to get a wicket here but now Sangakarra comes to the crease.. If we can manage to get him out early that would be brilliant.

I don't mind this in a one-dayer as long as both teams get a fair share of the batting conditions. Often on a high scoring ground, the chasing team has a much harder time of it, due to the slowing of the surface. In a Test, you want the pitch to evolve and change, but in an ODI it works against the contest.

Amazing stuff by Sangakkara, love his ability to go from controlled to super aggressive. If these two stay in for another 10 overs SL should be in a real good position. Will be interesting how the other batters go if needed though.
