BBL Squads are pretty much finalised. Here are my best XI's minus players who are very unlikely to play
Strikers
Weatherald
Dunk
Hodge
Head
Pollard
Dean
Ludeman
Richardson
Rashid
Laughlin
Stanlake
Neser has a poor bowling record. What he gives you with the bat at 8 doesn't make up for what you lose with the bowling. Would play Holland instead of Stanlake if the conditions suit
Heat
McCullum
Peirson
Burns
Lynn
Ross
Heazlett
Wildermuth
Cutting
Steketee
Swepson
Badree
Reardon is a flat track bully who doesn't perform on a consistent basis. Can find the boundary, but overall has an average record and strike rate
Hurricans
Paine
Wells
Bailey
Sangakarra
Michael
Christian
Milenko
Broad
Boyce
Rainbird
Tait
Weak batting line up. Think they might regret trading Dunk. Missed a trick not signing up talented hitters like Inglis and Carder. Ben McDermott should be nowhere near a state line-up.
Renegades
Finch
Harris
Wade
White
Beaton
Bravo
Cooper
Pattinson
Narine
Rimmington
Hogg
If Narine fires anything is possible. Pattinson scored 137* in a club cricket T20 on the weekend.
Stars
Wright
Pietersen
Maxwell
Hussey
Handscomb
Stoinis
Faulkner
Hastings
Zampa
Beer
Worrall
Fast bowling leaves a big question mark. Worrall and Hilfy aren't great T20 bowlers. International call ups in the 2nd half of the season will probably hurt them again.
Scorchers
Klinger
S. Marsh
M. Marsh
Voges
Turner
Bancroft
Willey
Coulter-Nile
Behrendorff
Tye
Paris
You might notice Johnson, Bell and Agar aren't in the XI. Simply they are not good enough to make the best XI. Scorchers already had plenty of quality bowlers, they don't need Johnson. He's not good enough anymore to replace the bowlers who play regular cricket. Agar has an average record with bat and ball. Bell is a wasted recruiting. A lot of the Scorchers success is down to luck, because their overseas signings have been piss poor decisions.
Sixers
Roy
Hughes
Maddinson
Billings
Henriques
Haddin
O'Keefe
Abbott
Lyon
Bird
Bollinger
For some unknown reason they've decided to go extremely light on with their batting again.
Thunder
Watson
Blizzard
Morgan
Gibson
Russell
Rohrer
Doran
Cummins
Nair
McKay
Ahmed
Early favourites would easily be Scorchers and Thunder. Sixers and the Hurricanes are no chance of winning. Everybody is a chance if things go their way.
