Pakistan's tour of England - August/September - 3 Tests/3 T20Is

Reports do have him coming out of Ed Smith's hotel room at 5 o clock in the morning covered in marmite: I think he might be in.

Jos will be raging, isn't he supposed to be the only wicket keeper allowed to hang out the back of Ed Smith?

Why? Just why?

Even if Mo pulls out of the tour or does a shock retirement, you could still go with Parkinson for a three spinner strategy in Sri Lanka (I doubt that they need a third quality spinner now as Root and Denly would suffice). Having Rashid in India as Kohli's nemesis is also pointless as the top three will feast on him by that point.

The way Rohit played Maharaj in the South Africa series at home, he would actually kill Adil Rashid's bowling. And we all know Mayank and Pujara don't give any chances to the bowler. Talking about Kohli, he is probably the best player of spin in the longer format. Going back to Rashid is a terrible decision considering England would tour India in Feb next year.

Moeen isn't even in the squad at the moment and I'd say there's no guarantee he goes to India - unless it's one big squad as Pakistan and West Indies have had. And I wouldn't throw him and Bess up against India's right-handers (which is the entire top 7 I think... depending where Jadeja plays and if Pant plays). I'd want someone to turn it away at least, Leach would be my first choice. Parkinson and now Rashid I would guess are in the mix. Of course Ed Smith might fancy Joe Denly's leg breaks to be the key to winning in India. One option Mo would bring is batting him at 7 (in the same way Woakes has done).

If Rashid is fit, confident then all we need to do is make Eoin Morgan test captain to bring the best out of him.

With the over-abudance of seam bowlers it'll be interesting to see what the hell bowling line up England come up with in India.

I mean, his batting is minging atm as well like

I believe India would go with Saha for Pant in Test played in India since he is a better and more experienced keeper than Pant in subcontinent conditions. So maybe Jadeja and Kuldeep would be the only left handers. I wouldn't be surprised if India go with 3 fast bowlers looking at the form and the fitness they have maintained over the last 2 years. So that leaves India with only 1 left hander in the entire playing XI. Off-spinners would face tough time bowling to the Indian batting line-up.

Btw now I know why Rashid was picked. Only other leg-spinner that played for England was Mason Crane who was there close to 3 years ago. So they had to go for him. But he would've to do well against Sri Lanka otherwise I don't know why he should play in India. He might do well against Pakistan considering how vulnerable their batting is but at the same time don't just expect them to throw their wickets away because they are definitely capable of coming back to secure a draw.
