To anyone who's just come to this thread because you saw the Thunder score:
Some FAQs, answered by the resident BBL enthusiast of the thread.

• Is this normal? No - but it would be if it was the Brisbane Heat.
• Is the BBL full of scrubs? No, and tbh the Thunder aren't either - players to fail in that innings include Alex Hales, Rilee Rossouw and Daniel Sams, all three of whom have had a major impact internationally or in the IPL. They also have Chris Green (Caribbean PL superstar), Fazalhaq Farooqi, and (a currently injured) Tanveer Sangha, plus David Warner when he returns from the Tests.
• Was it fixed? Watch the Short catch to get rid of Rossouw, and then tell me.
• Is the batting quality of the BBL lower than in other places? Yes, definitely - although that's because Aussie pitches are often bigger and offer more assistance to quicks than pitches in, say, India. Additionally, our talent pool is spread a bit thinner than in the IPL. Unlike in India and Pakistan, the BBL is our domestic-level T20 competition as well as a franchise tournament.
• Are there reasons to watch it other than to laugh at the Thunder? Yes - Joe Clarke scored a century this morning. Start there.
• Did the Thunder deserve it? Abso-bloody-lutely.

If you're watching the Test match, you'll have noticed most of South Africa's dismissals were guys caught on the crease. That's what happened (barring two wonder catches and a really unfortunate bowled)
