Afl 2008

I love freo but i hate to say it, i disagree with you. The dockers will get top 6 in my opinion. They should win their home final and advance to the semi's.

I will post my ladder later.

Interesting start to the NAB Cup, obviously some clubs trying harder than others, Geelong rotating heavily but we were still only playing Melbourne.

Despite west coast's off field dramas i think they will do well this year.
the player to look out at the Eagles this year will be Adam Selwood.
I think the team that will surprise the most people will be Brisbane.
I hate to say it (because i am a massive eagles fan) but my tip for the flag is freo.

Ohy my GOD! i never knew you even considered that. Anyway. The player to look out for this season for freo is dean solomon he had a good season last year and a solid pre season. My tip for the flag is geelong.:crying:rolleyes:

Nah gazza wont win it. He only got like 3 possessions in the first round NAB cup game. Yes i know it is only the NAB cup, but if it happens again in the next game it may shown signs of a form slump. So my tip for the medal is Kane Cornes.

Even if kane cornes got 30 possesions every single game he wouldnt win the brownlow, hes not "flashy" enough for umpires to give him votes.

Go put a 20 on Kerr

I might have to agree here, without now Judd and Cousins out of the team, Kerr has always been behind them 2 in the umpires eyes. But yet has still polled well in. Might be his year this year

Great game. Just saw the highlights. Geelong and St Kilda. Saints one by 5 points. The cats where ahead with a minute and a half to go, than saints scrambled a goal. 6 super goals in the match:)

That is right. But, it shows the development players undertook through the pre-season to the new season. Whether they have mellowed down or all of the sudden become a absolute superstar!

It's good to see this thread getting some posts up, didn't think there were many AFL supporters on here. Good win by Hawthorn tonight, but don't underestimate the determination by Carlton. Really fired up after half time.

Gibbs > Murphy and Hadley, and with their senior players in Judd, Stevens and Scotland, gunna be a good midfield for Carlton this year

Carlton had a reasonable midfield without Judd and Hadley. I don't think they could've averaged 100 points a game with noone to get the ball forward. Where they are still short is in defence and they're also a few years away from having one decent ruckman.

Waite looks a solid defender this year?
