Andrew Symonds

Why not bat Watson higher and play both of them? Watson is number 3/4/5 batter not number 7, He made 200 odd batting 3 for tasmania not too long ago

I have seen Watson bat, he is not good enough to be higher. I mean theres no way he should be above Hussey so that leaves 7. If anyone needs to return, I would lvoe to see Martyn back. Hes a great player to watch and didn't deserve to be dropped.

thats the problem:P we got too many good batsman you cant replace, Thats why we should play 5 bowlers and have symonds/watson as the 3rd seamers something like

Gilly
Hayden
Punter
Martyn
Hussey
Watson
Hogg
Lee
Clark/Gillespie
Mcgrath

heck i don't know, might be some new contracts out next year well see then!

Symonds isn't a bad bowler, he gets really good movement out of his cutters and swings the ball fairly well.

With Watson, I just don't know. He can hit the ball, but his batting doesn't enthuse me. He can bowl up over 140 kmh, yet I feel his only trick is a slower ball. Maybe he will put it together. As it stands though, he's going to get a lot of matches without having to put in a lot of performance.

I'm actually starting to seriously think Lee could get his average up if he batted up the order a bit. That would solve so many problems. The selectors could stop this allrounder bs and they could add one of a host of specialist bowlers.

Thats only 10. Whats that team for? Test or ODI?

Your line up is fine. Don't stress over it, I mean your the best team in the world, changes don;t need to be made at the moment.

Symonds is a very good medium pace bowler. Mabee hes a little underrated. Hes amazing really. His fielding is top notch, his bowling of spinners or mediums is extremly handy and his batting and strike rates are terrific. Everything about him is handy. Just a great player to have in the team.

symonds doesnt move it at all, the pitch was going to ****:p the uneven bounce and all..

He does move it, he can swing it both ways a touch. I saw it with my own eyes.

Symonds will only bowl well if the pitch suits him and I don't see the SCG pitch will suit him all that much. It will be a real test if he can maintain his fine bowling form.

But I don't see Symonds bowling too many of his off breaks. His off breaks are only handy in the one day games and his off spins reminds of Chris Gayle's. He generally does well at the Gabba and WACA because he gets the extra bounce and movement.

Well,i think they want ONE All-Rounder.And you can find better middle-order batsman then Watson.

Well,Chris Gayle DOES get wickets,so if he can pick up as many wickets as Gayle that would be great!

And the 10 sports lot were calling him an all rounder.

And they did that because he is.....Christ,he bowls regularly and bats before Gilly!
So Symonds would play as a bowler alone in the Aus team?
