Well things members film themselves are okay, lets say you go to a game and take some photos, you are welcome to post these in the cricket chat forum. Other than that there is no real need for a forum, because cricket photos that are taken by members aren't very common on the forum, and we aren't making a forum for people to post stuff that has potential legal issues (like the music and videos would).

Remember, if you haven't created something, unless you are 100% sure it is uploaded by the copyright holder (for example you can link to a cricket video, if it has been uploaded by Cricket Australia, but not if it has been uploaded by a random person who got it off TV), don't post it.

The things members post on this site can have potential legal issues for us and as such we would rather not allow something that is potentially going to be a problem, then have problems down the track.

All posts containing youtube videos are moderated first because of this, but for other things, you may PM a moderator to get further help in determining if something is allowed to be posted. But if in doubt, don't.

Don't see how some members can complain about the quality of the cricket discussion if they themselves open threads just to have a dig at someone they don't know (not you Highlander). It's not really contributing to the quality of of the section at all. More than the posts in there it's the constant discrimination of others' opinions that reduces the quality of the section.

I think tempers are just a bit high at the moment, and currently people are reacting more than they would have done previously. People need to sit in the quiet corner for 15 minutes :cool: I think that both sides (and I use that term loosely) have made posts/threads which haven't helped the situation, but I would encourage both Indians and the rest, to maybe ease up on the constant bickering.

End of the day it is an internet forum, you're going to bump into people with all sorts of views. Some of them might seem totally insanse to you, whilst something you believe in might appear moronic to that person. Of course you are going to get people who don't have the self-esteem in the real world to speak out, so they troll the forum, posting opinions which will cause people to react. I personally just feel sorry for them, that they have to do that to make themselves feel better.

I think maybe it would be a good idea if everyone put the last week or so behind them, because all that we have now are people feeling bitter.

Anyway I am in a thinking mood as I have a history exam in just under 5 hours and I can't sleep

But seriously, your right. I didn't help the situation in the "Best batsmen of the next decade" thread. It's just to hard for me to ignore opinions I don't agree with. It's not in my to just let it go

Half of the people don't know what is it. It really helps you in making your thread here popular on net. In downloads thread in CK27 forum (or any other), it optimizes the rank of that thread and will help it to make popular.

I think people must care about it.

IMO threads like Dhoni vs Bradman, Dhoni vs KP e.t.c should be closed as because members are comparing young players(who haven't made big achivements) with Legends like Bradman, Lara and so on. If this type of thread are created in future the threads should be closed immedieatly IMO. Now its all up to the Mods.

yer, i have learnt now to start just ignoring the idiotic posts and have placed a couple on my ignore list, its hard to ignore somethings and when you do bite back its just what they are after. I'm trying to just sift through posts as much as i can now and trying not to get the urge to bite back at the trolling and give them what they want. There are some people not naming names that must go though for the good of the forum
