Any Improvements?

I was wondering is there really any need for a Hindi Music Thread, Punjabi Songs Thread, Tamil Music/Movie Thread and an Indian Singers Thread. Can't they just all go in the Music thread? Are we soon going to be seeing a "Muse" or "Kasabian" thread? Because then the entertainment forum will just become way too cluttered.

I don't think that music from those sort of genres would get much discussion amongst the more mainstream discussion that has occurred in the music thread. For me, the benchmark for making new threads, is if they can generate a lot of discussion, if a thread doesn't, it falls off the page.

I'd have thought all the topics you have listed could go in the same thread, but not the music thread. But on the other hand I couldn't tell the difference between someone speaking Hindi or Punjabi, so I might be missing something.

Threads for single bands is a bit much, but I see no issue with genre based threads. That said, there already is a Muse thread, and I'd be shocked if there aren't a few Kasabian threads in there. Though if people start to make genre threads just for the sake of a genre having a thread rather than them starting good discussion, I'll throw a shovel at them.

Not wanting to upset you Tom, but what's the point of moaning about threads, members create threads if they have something to say. It's not moderators. As WHM says, unpopular threads just fall way. What would you rather have, one big thread? Might as well not pay for forum software and just have a bulletin board. Or do you just want threads about penguins?

Nah, it was just a suggestion at the end of the day, to make things look slightly tidier. Just my opinion. For instance, you don't have a County Thread about Kent, Yorkshire or Surrey, there is just the English County Thread. End of the day it is just a tiny tiny thing, not worth the time of day

Oh and I would love threads on penguins

Not a lot of people want to talk about Kent though, Only 11 people made more than 10 posts in the LV County Championship thread all of last season. Makes me think people here just aren't interested in domestic cricket, what they are here for I don't know, Penguins?

Just was feeling very bad about one thing. People are still comparing their country players more superior than other country players. I don't want to name them but just scroll up and you can see the example.

Every player has his own abilities and hence cannot be compared. Just like there cannot be second Bradman, there cannot be another Sachin also.

Just to add to WHM and Kev's points. The languages really aren't the same or similar (Hindi & Punjabi a little bit but not so much that I would be able to understand Punjabi) and the styles are very different; same reason why the rock music and party music threads are separate. It would make no sense. It would be like combining a French, German and Spanish Music thread into one. I understand why you would want to do that but maybe if you were Indian it would make more sense to you as to why your suggestion makes no sense .
