You seem to really not understand when to use the sarcasm smiley.

Basically it is for what it says next to the Yes or No, indicating if a post has been helpful. For example you'd click it if someone answers a question of yours.

We'll eventually build on the gathered data, perhaps with some award or something given to people with a lot of helpful posts.

Reps are mostly for a private comment on a post now, this is trying to fill the gap removing the display of rep levels made.

Any way to switch it off?
Not at this stage, I've figured out a way to make it look much less intrusive though, which will be enabled in a few minutes.

Aforementioned 'way' is now done.

Yea, looks much nicer now. I still don't like the concept too much. Makes this seem like Yahoo Answers or something...

Which is why it is going to only be on certain forums where it fits in a bit more, for example the Cricket game forums and the Technology forum, but not in General/Cricket chat.

I like it. Much better way than reps to say thanks for a useful post than the rep system. The poster gets to see he has been helpful and others get to see that the post has indeed out, useful for problemsolving.

You have got the system spot on Mat! Nice work. :happy

How about something like Google Labs where you can test new features but members can choose to not use them?

Apologies if asked earlier but I'm just wondering a little about this Yes/No system. So, will this effect the posts that are posted after the system has been installed or the ones that were posted before this was installed.

Thanks in advance and. I think people will try to act more smarter to get a "yes" for every post. :p

In theory it works for every post in the forums it is enabled for, but I doubt people will be digging back through old posts to hit Yes, so think of the count as starting today.

Yeah, Like this.
