Welcome to Arden Street

Welcome to Arden street ladies and gentlemen. The home of the North Melbourne Football Club, or better known as, the Kangaroos.

The North Melbourne president, James Brayshaw (One of the host from the Thursday night AFL Footy show on Channel 9), Brayshaw came out to the media and was about to announce a major announcement which will rock the North Melbourne Football Club in 2009.

Here is the Media press conference that was lead out about 10 minutes ago....

North Melbourne coach, Dean Laidley has decided to resign as Senior Coach and will not take part in the 2009 AFL Premiership Season. Laidley said he has been in the business for a long time now, but there is a stage in life, where your family must come first, and that stage has just hit Laidly over the past couple of months. Laidley has a family he needs to put his main focus on, and so being a Senior coach won't allow him that time with his three children.
This has been a massive shock to the North Melbourne community, and we certainly didn't see this coming, but we are going to support Dean and his decision, because in reality, this is just a game. And family certainly does come first.

We are now on the look out for a new Senior coach for our 2009 Season, we will have many interviews and we have many candidates that are right for the role, but we'll go through a process and we will release the announcement of our Senior coach when we have found him. Until now, thank you, and once again. Good luck Dean!

Welcome back to Arden street, where the lookout for the new North Melbourne coach is getting heated up, with many candidates up for grabs right now. But the North Melbourne president, James Brayshaw has come out to the media, and suggested a press conference tomorrow morning to release the new AFL coach.

Brayshaw, said, that we have found a coach for the 2009 season, and we have concluded his contract for another 3 years after that. We are confident this bloke will bring a lot to the Football club for the next 3 seasons, and i am happy to have this guy on board. He is fresh, will have many great ideas for the club.

He is fresh out of the game, so there's a little hint that Brayshaw gave the media yesterday, so we will give you 24 hours to think about who the new coach for the Kangaroos will be next season. Good luck.

Thanks everybody and welcome to the Press conference to see which Ex-AFL player will now coach the Kangaroos in 2009 and beyond for the next 3 seasons. James Brayshaw has come to the table and is about to start the press conference. A lot of talk has about this coaching job, as the Kangaroos are a well respected side, but their old coach, Dean Laidley took the team down the brinches.

With the new coach, a lot of good things and positive things are expected to come out of this, and the new coach said to Brayshaw, he has a lot of good and wonderful things planned for this football club.

Let's cross over now to Jimmy, and listen to what he has to say.

"Thankyou everyone for coming out and taking some interest in this story. I have the great pleasure in announcing the new Senior coach of the North Melbourne Football Club, and unfortunately, this coach couldn't be with us here today, so i will just have to announce him through this press conference, but Nathan Buckley, will coach the North Melbourne Football Club from the start of the 2009 Pre Season and will have a 3 year contract to work with.
We are very excited to have Nathan on board with us, as he has showed in his playing days that he still has the love and passion for the game. Taking a year off last season and sitting in the commentary box would have given him some good over sight of the game viewed from a fans suspective.

We would like to wish Nathan and the whole North Melbourne community the best of luck in the 2009 season. And as President, i can tell you right now, things are looking up for the Roo's. ;)
