Ashes 2009 not working on Windows 7

Hi
My game is also not working on Windows 7:. I installed both beta patches. My laptop is using the new optimus technology. It switches between the onboard graphics card and the very good Nvidia Graphics card automaticly. I don't know if that has anything to with it.

When I run the game. The exe file would just not respond. You have to end the program with the task manager.:doh

Help would really be appreciated.:help:help:help

My Ashes Game Works Great On windows 7

When I clicked - Run as Admin, it worked fine for me. After ages, I took the DVD & didn't even install it. With the version I installed in XP, I was able to run the game in Win 7 with just the DVD in my DVD drive.

I got the game, i installed then when i try to start it dosnt work.
Any help would be very good. Please help guys. I really want to play this game.

Ram : 4 GB
64 Bit operating system.

I don't think G33/G31 family is designed for gaming, especially onboard graphics! Definitely NOT. AC09 isn't compatible. Please go through for the system requirements(minimum).

Yes, Graphics is the main part which your system is missing. If it has some good external graphics card, the game should be running without any problems. Unfortunately, onboard graphics, especially your config isn't designed for gaming like I said in my earlier post.

^^ Processor and other things are fine, but can you show what is your display tab telling us? Display is one which tells about GPU [ Graphical Processing Unit ].

Other way to know about GPU --> Type dxdiag in RUN and click "display" tab.

Rightio.. It's another integrated graphics card. I guess, it might support AC09 with lowest settings. That too, am not sure how smooth it will be. There are some nice games listed as compatible for this card,

You will get an excellent gaming conditions if you have dedicated GPU as far as I know.

Windows 7 stinks for games and... well, just about everything else, really. I was tired of right clicking and selecting "Vista mode" (selecting XP mode never works anyway). And this is supposed to compatible moreso than XP? Bahahaha laughing my pants down!

My advice is, if you want to stick with Windows 7, good luck. It is a resource hogging, obese system... But what I have done in the past is this: make the .exe run in vista mode... Then do all the dumb things at some point- make sure your graphics card can handle the game specs, is compat with W7, and so on, you've heard it all before.

My better advice, and this is what I did for many reasons, is roll back to XP. I'm running XP 64 bit, and it flies compared to W7.

PS., if you're using onboard graphics, most games will stink; because onboard graphic processor manufacturers love to beef up their rep by lying.
