Domestically, Kumar's managed to take 184 wickets at 22.94 on flat Indian pitches so he's hardly an overcast conditions, green-top specialist. Ideally Hilfenhaus would return to form like you said, but Australia can't afford to wait too long for him to come around.

Yes im aware of his FC stats. But given the standards of IND FC cricket isn't exactly superb, id want to see him bowl to international batsmen on real roads before i make a judgement.

On Hilfy yes we cant wait on him and the current tour to SRI may be too late for him. But the pecking order for the quicks in tests presuming AUS take 4 for me is still Bollinger, Johnson, Harris, Siddle. I wouldn't pick him over any of those fellows.

As for Copeland he can swing the ball both ways like Kumar but what he has on his side is his height. Now is the time to get him into the lineup.

He doesn't swing it as big both was a Kumar at all based on what ive seen. Kumar's banana swing reminds me on a quicker Richard Hadlee, Akram.

But the funny thing is that PK didn't get a lot of wickets with the big swinging balls so much as getting the ball to do a little bit off the pitch. I wouldn't be surprised if his swing bowling is more effective in conditions that aren't supposed to suit it.

Solid end to the tour for Copeland and Marsh. Mitch batting was disappointing but his bowling has improved pretty much reminisce of last season.

Mitchell Marsh career at this stage reminds me of Shane Watson circa 2001/02 when he was young hyped all-rounder.
