Australia & South Africa's tour of Zimbabwe August-September 2014

I really think that Mitchell Marsh has benefitted greatly from being OSOS. Statistically he's not that much of a batsman, but he has been treated very differently from Faulkner. Either is a work in progress with lots of talent, but they seem to want Faulkner to be a specialist bowler more than he actually is one, which has been to his loss of opportunity.

Tahir atm is one of the best limited overs bowlers, sadly it has not worked for him in tests. Nice to see Finch staying there and grafting his way through.

A much quicker pitch prepared today, plus there was reports of cloud cover as well. I'm glad Zimbabwe didn't have to face South Africa or Australia on this pitch. :p[DOUBLEPOST=1410001685][/DOUBLEPOST]Go South Africa!

FAF :D no record :p

Screw AB why the hell would he hit 2 sixes and not let Faf get a 100? Most selfish act of cricket...

FAF : Out cant blame AB :D

FAF : Out cant blame AB :D

The only reason Faf got out is because he had to try hit a 4 in 2 balls to get a 100 because AB tried to be the hero and hit 20 runs in one over...

Nevertheless here are FDP's last 8 ODI innings: 96, 121, 126, 15, 106, 40, 55, 59.

Very impressive.

To some extent, Faulkner is a specialist bowler though. Sure he's a bowling all-rounder and has loads of room to improve with his batting but he has to maintain his spot as a bowler in the team first and foremost. I don't think they see Mitch Marsh that way because he's had a good List A record since he first started with WA.[DOUBLEPOST=1410025362][/DOUBLEPOST]

Wanted to get it over and done with. He's the skipper, he can do whatever he wants.

This ODI series has told me one thing, AUS & S Africa just like they are in tests are above the rest of the world in ODIs & are easily the two favourites going into the world cup.

Their closest obvious challenger is New Zealand.

If Faf got 100 he would of broken a record for the most 100s in a series (or something like that) and there were 10 overs left so AB had no reason to finish it off...

But the truth is, we are criticizing AB because of him, Faf didn't get to his century. If AB had helped Faf to get to his century, we all would have been praising and saying "AB is a Selfless cricketer" or "AB did a good thing that he didn't finish the game and helped his team mate get to century" or "AB is the reason of Faf's record for most number of centuries in a One-Day International Series"
