Cricket Australia announced a 14 man squad for the two Twenty20 internationals between England and Australia. Michael Clarke was appointed as captain for T20's, and Cameron White was given the post of deputy. The squad selection was as expected, not many new faces were put up, but couple of new faces came onto light with the announcement of squad.
Australia, getting beaten by England in Ashes (2-1) , were on fire to clinch both T20i and ODi series' against England. Ricky Ponting landed on Tasmanian shore soon after the Test series and David Warner along with Ben Rohrer, Lee Carseldine, Tim Paine and Shaun Tait were sent to join the side for T20i's and ODi's.

Now, lets have a look at the Debutants in detail.

Ben Rohrer:
Everyone, who has seen his 44 off 20 in KFC T20 Bigbash 2008-09 Final know what he can do. He's a player from New South Wales, who can hit the ball hard when required. He generally comes in at 5 or 6 and plays exceptional cricket according to what situation demands.

Lee Carseldine:
The all rounder from Queensland, who can perform with both bat and ball like a gem. He has a T20 strike rate of about 130, with an average of about 30, which can prove that this guy is not someone to take easy. English bowlers will have to concentrate a bit on this guy and his strategies by looking into his past T20 performances. With ball, he can be used as a good 5th or 6th bowler, who occasionally provides breakthroughs.

Men to Watch Out:
1) Michael Clarke:
The New Captain of Australia for T20's is yet to make a mark. He played some great handy Knocks in T20 cricket, but the advantage he has is he just can change himself as per the situation.

2) Cameron White:
The Captain of Victoria Bushrangers, is a man with strong determination. He comes out to bat at no.5 or no.6, and just keeps on slogging till the end. He's got a good highest score of 141* in T20's. So, one can estimate how dangerous he can be if he blasts!

3) Dirk Nannes:
The Player, who played for Netherlands in ICC world T20 this year, is now representing Australia. Australian Selectors have always been rude towards him but they gave him a chance to prove himself.

Missed Out:
In Australia, the competition is too high that one innings can change your future. James Hopes missed out but is on a strong desire to get in to the squad. Ben Hilfenhaus is the another nameable one, who missed out into this squad.

An update from Opponent:
Even England Cricket Board announced their squad for both the T20i's.
English Squad:
ecb_logo.gif

PD Collingwood(C)
JM Anderson
RS Bopara
TT Bresnan
SCJ Broad
JL Denly
EJG Morgan
MJ Prior
AU Rashid
OA Shah
RJ Sidebottom
GP Swann
IJL Trott
LJ Wright

Collingwood was to lead the side. Owais Shah is the one to watch out for as he's a man who can destroy the opponents plans with his bat. Bresnan will be the one guy, who will be under microscope of ECB selectors as England Cricket team now needs a genuine all rounder to replace Freddie in tests. Kevin Pietersen and Andrew Flintoff missed out due to injuries.

Credits to the Squad Card:
Giggity Giggity, Thank you:)

^ he's doing it on australia's "success story" :sarcasm

anyway lee, tait, nannes and johnson will probably destroy the poms.:laugh

Personally I don't think Denly is that bad - I reckon that England team would give Australia a good run in T20. This should be good preparation for the convicts!:p:laugh

Nice presentation though, graphics looking pretty good too.

Dussey's name was bit misplaced:(.
And can someone kindly say me how to make the BG of a player portrait.?

I don't really know what you mean. If you could elaborate a bit more on that I would be happy to help, if possible.

The first T20i between England and Australia is scheduled on 30th of August. Both the teams look even after Michael Clarke goes back to Australia to take care of his Mother, who was in a critical situation previous night. According to reports, Pup said that he had to go and stay with his mom for couple of days so that she would get some confidence on herself.
He tweeted ," Well, I'm going back to Sydney. Mom's in serious condition. Have to stay with her for couple of days so that she would get some confidence on herself."

So, Australian T20's Vice Captain Cameron White gets the charge of leading the side, and at the same time, Tim Paine, the Tassie Tigers captain was named as White's deputy.

Australian Line up was looking like a brand new side, with exclusion of Michael Hussey from T20 squad as he was admitted in hospital for Stomach Upset. Lee Carseldine was bit happy as he was named in the likely line up. Cameron White spoke to media about the current side, with which, he was to lead.

Cameron White Said ,"Well, its a good side with inclusion of new youngsters like Carseldine, Rohrer, but Rohrer is doubtful for tomorrow's game cos we've eleven players named up in the likely side. But Rohrer can be named in if Dave gets his injury sustained. His injury is expected to heal up by this evening, he has already started practicing, but still, he's not totally fit. If he gets totally fit, he'll get in. And We've got strict rules of not to make any player play who's not 100% fit. So, I'll be following that and James Hopes or Callum Ferguson may be called up if Pup's arrival delays."

Going to other side, England looks bit weak since the announcement of the squad. The major blow for them is they don't have the Two Big Names "Kevin Pietersen and Andrew Flintoff" were ruled out of series. Paul Collingwood said that he was happy with the side he has been given and said that they'll try their best, and the outcome must come depending upon how the opponent play.

The weather analysts say that Manchester city will be facing rains in the upcoming week, in which both the T20i's are scheduled. ECB rules out the rumor created by media about shifting venue as the ground was installed with some new DJ's, Cheer Leader Stages, Neon Flood lights which support T20 play, and mainly the Pitch was curated accordingly to the smallest format of the game for the two T20i games between England and Australia.

Tim Paine as vice captain is shocking. Other than that Australian side looks strong. As far as England side is concern their side looks a bit weak compared to Australia. Their bowlers are good but first three top order batsmen,Denly,Bopara and Trott aren't really good t20 players specially Denly he has been totally failure in t20's. Let's see what happens.

Nice presentation mate.

Tim Paine as Vice-Captain, that's a surprising news. The outgoing of Clarke will really make both the teams equal.
