Day one, in particular the opening session. There is always the air around the ground that something special can happen. All the build up and excitement, and the bowler runs in for the first ball, the batsman gets ready, you have all the duels for the match lined up, everything is about to get underway, it's brilliant really.

Day 1 would be exciting if more than 3-4 wickets fall, otherwise its just tedious and you know the rest of the match will probably be too if they finish 300-2/3

Day 3. Thats when you know which way the game is heading (not on the flat decks though).

Day 3 for me , this day shows where the match might go. On seaming pitches Day2 , because by this time both team would have batted and someone would have got the lead, which is very important.
