...And now on Sky News we cross live to our Sports Correspondent at Sophia Gardens with some breaking news, what can you tell us?

Well there has just literally 2 minutes ago been a press conference arranged at the click of a finger in which the GB and Melbourne Bitters Spin Bowler, The Spin, spoke on his own to press and released the following statement:

"Due to unrest in the team camp between the management staff and myself I have decided personally to withdraw from Team GB. It is my opinion that the management could not take critisism about their team selection for the match against the Rest of the World squad and the following conflict has left me with no choice but to take this action. I do still wish the rest of the team good luck and will return to Melbourne to continue pre-season training with the Bitters team."

He would not answer questions on the issue from the press and left straight away, getting a pre-booked taxi which we assume is heading to Heathrow airport where he will catch a plane back to Australia. We do not know what exactly these conflicts were, but we assume the dropping of Spin from the line-up to face the Australia/New Zealand team was a part of it.

OK, thank you for that report on the surprising turn of events in Wales ahead of the next match, team manager Treva has not been aavailable to comment yet, but we will bring you further reports as and when they happen.

And now for the weather...

This is what Monty57 said about the incident who is also fellow Bitters member with the spin

"All i want to say is its a real shame we have lost a good player, I dont want to take The spin side or treva side as i dont exactly know the full story and both guys are good guys"

When asked would it affect the performence off their next match Monty said No and all the players where fired up for the game.

Most importantly star batsmen LF makes a statement to the press:
I would just like to say that I'm very dissapointed to have lost another person to smash out of the nets and the whole slogging my team mates evertonfan, w3lshrugby and Treva to name just a few could get repetitive.

Chez you just want to draw attention to yourself because you think you are the best player in cricsim. I quote myself in the matter of not being able to accept criticism of poor selection:

Hey it was a risky tactic and it didn't pay off, and I hold my hands up for it. But if the players actually performed it could've been oh so different. I think we would have won if we bowled first!

Chez you have to go and sulk because I left you out for 1 game. Rich didn't complain when he was left out, nor Lee (monty57 and skateboarder)

I have to say it is bad to see you go as you are a good player, but if you really feel you wanna create a lot of fuss then that's fine by me.

Now lets concentrate on winning our games!

Amir told the Press about the sudden events:
Amir (THE BARMY ARMY) said:
Well it is really sad to see a good player go. I am very saddened by this as The Spin was a good player.

Welcome back to Sky News. Now we have an update on the sudden withdrawal of The Spin from the Team GB cricket team, we go to our Sports Correspondent outside Sophia Gardens for more details.

Yes thank you, we have been hearing updates about the situation all day from various members of the team and as well Treva, the Team GB manager who gave a rather inflammatory statement about The Spin. Here is the footage from his Press Conference a few hours ago

Chez you just want to draw attention to yourself because you think you are the best player in cricsim. I quote myself in the matter of not being able to accept criticism of poor selection:

Treva said:

Having heard this statement, The Spin has been speaking to a Sky reporter at Heathrow airport. Here is what he had to say:

"I watched the press conference which was given and I felt resentful for what was said. Treva has obviously misread the entire situation and the reason for which I left the team. I was not planning on speaking again on the issue as I didn't want to further disrupt the rest of Team GB from their preparations from their match today, but thanks to these hurtful comments I am forced to set the record straight. I am not leaving Team GB for the mere reason that I was dropped from a team selection, that would be stupid of me. The reason I left was to avoid creating a rift in the team where relations between the management and players deteriorated. Being in the team would bring about some of the tension of the situation and so, for the best of the team, I decided to withdraw. Treva saying that I am sulking and that I should deal with it is just plainly wrong. I didnt blame the decision for me leaving, I didnt blame the inability to take critisism, I blamed the conflict following that and as much as relations did improve after that point I felt it would be irresponsible for me to stay in the squad. I hope Treva now acknowledges the reason for me leaving as just thinking of what is best for the team"

There was The Spin really wanting to set the record straight on this issue and I think now if Treva follows up by doing as The Spin said then this issue will become closed off without major damage. Back to the studio now

Thank you for that report and as always we will keep you updated here at Sky News.

Also today the Prime Minister announced futher education reforms...

"It is my opinion that the management could not take critisism about their team selection for the match against the Rest of the World squad and the following conflict has left me with no choice but to take this action."

I rest my case!

Is Treva not bothering to read my statements? I have explained exactly why I left and I hope you agree with me that I did it for the good of the team, not for the good of myself

Zorax feels Chez over-reacted
"Part-timers don't bowl a lot anyways, so chill Chezzy"

Zorax has been reported saying Chez over reacted to his teams last loss and criticised his pulling out of the Britain XI.

"So they got crushed. Big whoop. He missed out on a game. How tragic. He doesn't like what the skipper does. So sad.
This is sport. You shut up, and do your best. Chez isn't such a great player that the BXI will do without him. They've got plenty of other bowlers vying for the spot. And whinging after a loss is totally unacceptable. If he were a member of my squad, I'd make sure he never plays again. I think he just saved Treva a decision there, which shouldn't have been too hard."

When asked if he had heard Chez's latest release, Zorax had to say:

"Sure, he left for the 'good of the team'. A playing leaving is never good for the team. It lowers morale, disrupts players attetions, and tends to lead to a loss. But considering Chez might have been a whiny pain in the *** in the locker rooms, it may have been for the better. There should never be a reason to be tension between players and managers. A team is a team, and you respect everyones decision -especially the skipper- no matter how stupid. Everyone does just have the teams best intrest at heart."

Even then, Zorax did have some nice words:

"Chez is still a decent leggie. For a part-timer. And hey, no more Chez means more Cheese for the rest of us!"

Zorax then proceeded to leave in a limousine, and started animated discussion with some big Russian men in suits before driving off.

You did it for yourself clearly. The bolded in your quote proves my point that you left because of the way you felt I couldn't "take criticism". If you read what you put in my quoted section it shows my reasoning.

It has nothing to do with conflict as after what you said in the game thread i thought we had left it there and moved on...

Having left to avoid causing harm to team morale and balance I feel that certain managers are trying to cause trouble themselves by simply throwing allegations around about why I may have done what I have done, especially the ROW manager who quite frankly has neither a need to comment or a brain if his comment is anything to go by. I explained why and, as I said, if people just accept what I say my reasoning was rather than pick apart what I am saying to find some hidden motive then this issue can be closed and the team can get back to work. It is unfortunate that the Team GB Manager of all people is acting in a way which will cause unnecessary unrest in the team

No offence chez but now your talking like you know how the team is feeling if i remember rightly your not even in the team?

'Soaker and GB batsman Maney2k7 had his input on the situation:
We all have to move on and concentrate on the next game, yes it is a blow to lose a player of Spin's quality, but the longer we dwell on it the worse prepared we will be for the next game.

He promptly left for Ipswich, where he was going to see his family

basically Chez everyone knows your talking crap. I feel by leaving you have caused more conflict than if you stayed, because as I have said I thought the situation had already been resolved. That will be my final press comment and like I said in my PM I look forward to some good banter in the Pakistani Legends-Melbourne Bitter matches...
