Call of Duty: Black Ops

Just had an awesome party session with Don. We both seriously kicked ass, I managed to get my K/D from 1.19 to 1.44 in the space of 2-3 hours.

Sounds like CoD has dropped the ball with this one, on PC at least. PC Gamer only gave it a mid 60% review. After years of playing CoD games, I have to agree that the series is getting dull. I much prefer the Brothers in Arms series - especially as you can't just duck behind cover and wait to be magically healed.

Brothers in Arms is a completetly different ball game. I hate COD a lot but I find that an unfair comparison. COD is just about arcadey Rambo style chaos. Brothers in Arms is tactic based squad play, they even use that game to do demonstrations at the West Point Military academy.

I'm glad you see through the COD facade, they are very below par games, good for only acne ridden teenagers who have no concept of fairplay or teamwork.

One of the things I love about BiA is you have to keep your head down under fire - forget to do that, and you're dead. Like in real life.

CoD used to be an innovative and gripping series, but for me that came to a shuddering halt after CoD 2. After that, it was online this, online that and a story that was not only too short, but simply couldn't match the emotive stories of the first two CoDs. And I read in PC Gamer that there's a rumour the next one will be set in.... space.

It wouldn't surprise me. CoD is a series that needs new life breathed into it and fast - but that's certainly not the direction to take. A new CoD used to be something that I'd look forwards to - but not any more. Now, a new BiA game, that would make me take notice! I have Earned in Blood and Hell's Highway winging their way to me as we speak - for less than ?10 in total - result!

One of the major problems with the CoD games, especially online, is how badly balanced they are for new players. The best players get the best guns, the best everything and as PC Gamer said (AND I QUOTE. ;) )

'a XXXX helicopter to kill everyone on the map for them. Yeah, that'll even things up.'

New players in CoD don't have a sodding chance.

Black ops was the biggest let down in gaming history for me, up until last sunday ive played modern warfare 2 since it was released, i sold my black ops within 2 weeks.

I reckon Black Ops is OK. The multi is the best in the series, but the single player is awful.

The main reason I play Black Ops is zombies, I just love it. Got to round 28 on Kino Der Toten with 3 people today:D.

But looks like I'll stop playing it now that I have Vietnam, Brotherhood and GT5.

Ya, I hate Camping. It's my brother's. I play it once in a while. And seems to me that my fav. map are Firing Range, Grid, Cracked

Hardest for me is Cracked and Launch. I HATE NUKE TOWN! I get like 18-29

I hear they will release a new map pack?

I don't understand why people camp - tried it myself for a bit to see what the appeal was, and found it really boring! So you get more kills - big whoop. There's no skill involved, no tactics - where's the satisfaction in that? The only sort of camping I'll do is stick myself inside a building and defend it - but not for the whole game like some people seem to do. ;)

I like to kill people from the windows and stuff. But that's a dead move in this game. Hate how you can't close the doors, or how every room has multiple doors. 100% chance of getting knifed from the back. But how do they do it??

That's why I like Firing Range. It has that dock thing. If you can make it up the latter, you are the man.

I like talking to people on the game instead of actually playing...

Especially a certain ethnic type, it always sounds like someones being ***** in the background. Or they're always threatening someone.

And then whenever you get involved, it's always "hey 1v1 me man, you pussy"

Lol

Until you get Nova'd/semtex'd/fragged

I can duck those 75% of the time. Few times I jumped on one of those 3 windows. No jumped off, but jumped and stayed on railing and survived :D

Anyone tried the dead ops?

Dead Ops is the only map with 4 player split screen, its alright with friends if you ahve mroe than 2 over but otherwise I prefer the other maps.
Kino gets kinda boring, got to 37 with 3 friends, lately just started playing Five a lot and it's great fun. The Professor dude is freaky lol, we all start screaming when he comes lol

This was my 1st PS3 game, and I regretted it. But lately, I am getting really into this. My lil brother forced me into this, because he wanted to play, but I wouldn't let him (he is 7th grade, plus I gave him my xbox right after I bought this PS3!). So I always have to play on splits screen. And I noticed that there is a huge difference from split screen to one player. It's sooo weird. I totally lose my control. That becomes a big problem for aiming.

On another note, which guns do you guys like or use the most on MP?
