Cricket 2004 Wishlist

that is true,i guess it is happening everywhere not just in australia

well they make it every two years since "The ashes tour" which was int he spot of cricket 98 which they never bothered to make...and then came the cwc and they had to make it because people were tired of being eng and aus...and then 2000...and then 2002....2004 so bingo the next one is probaly 2007 but the odd thing is i think they should atleast made a cwc version for 2003, witht he correct sponsors and other cool features

but 2004 most likely will not have the 16 teams format because the iCC just declared it a month ago, and there really hasnt been any offical document stating there would be 16 teams and moreover I hope they let u pick your own host nations(plural, because one country jsut doesnt host the cwc)

isn't it late to be still posting in a wishlist now ? :saywhat:

but you have to give give credit to ea.they are atleast giving us some good cricket games unlike codemasters, which despite the sucess of blc did not release its next version

Throwing should be done manually with a throwing meter and when you press it closest to the meter line, the throw would be more accurate and more powerful

i think its a great wish for cr2004, This would give more realism
EA should think about it

Hey you guys,

Let's be realistic. It's harder to make a cricket game than NHL and NBA games. Cricket has got so many possibilities if u kno wot I mean. We are pressuring them to build a really great game. IF they could do that, they would haev done some stuff already.
Although I agree that Cricket is a harder game to make compared to other sports, EA has done so well in creating games based on other sports that you begin to wish that EA themselves take over the development of the game rather than allow HB Studios to do it. Personally, I believe that if EA really believed they had a market for cricket, they would have done a lot better job than Cricket 2002. But, currently, they are improving by just marginal increments. :(

i hope they include manual stumpings atleast
as if a bastman is standing and he hasnt put his bat or foot inside the crease or it is on the line we can stump him and appeal

Hi Guys

The other most important aspect of cricket is the statistics. CKT 2002 doesn't let us account the number of centuries scored by a batsman in his career. It would be so nice if all player's stats were updated and from there on it would depend on us to control the careers of the players of our favourite team. If a game like BLC had a good stats feature, CKT2004 must have it!

I also hope that while playing a world cup or autoplay the teams don't score at a run rate of 6+ in test matches! It would ruin that stats :o
Also in one days the teams that we don't control generally lose just one or two wickets in the whole of 50 overs with openers like Jaysuria, Gilly, Hayden etc. scoring 140+ runs every match!!! :o

I hope u guys agree.

Sten
