plus there are no bugs! i read that there'r lots uv extras...i played a test match with England and Aussies, only 9 extras! No so called 'line up bug' or whatsoever!the game's way better compared to the previous one! i played that for a week and got bored! cricket 2004 rocks!

if you guys can't respect the maker (EA Sports rocks), y dont ya make it yourselves!!!

By the way, my desktop configurations are: P4, Alienware Area 51; 3 GHz, 1 GB RAM, NVIDIA Geforce FX 5700 Ultra 128MB video card, Windows XP.

Ahem...No offence intended but I don't think you have played EA's other offerings. I have, and many others have too and if you were to compare the innovations and the evolutions of some of EA's other sports titles, you'll know why the majority were quite disappointed with Cricket 2004. As for the bugs...patience is a good virtue to have, atleast that's what they say.

P.S. By the way, nice comp.

hey mj-cool, Im sure u must atleast have the most common bug? By that I mean the stupid keeper bug? dont u get a lotta byes when batting? or did u just play 1 match and then say that the game has no bugs? cos in my first 2-4 matches, I saw no bugs at all. After that, I wanted to dlete this thing. Half my runs were coming in byes.

i'm playing dis sins 3 weeks. I've completed 3 whole tours. der r no bugs, well certainly not in my copy of da cd. as i mentioned earlier, i just got around 10 extras every ODI Match. i get around 20 extras per test match.

PS: I am not an agent from EA Sports!!

you are right, it's not that gud compared to NBA Live, NFL, FIFA etc. but do u know how many people play basketball, Football, Soccer compared to cricket? Especially, in the US, Canada, and the parts of Asia. Only a very meagre % play cricket or know cricket compared to other sports. Cricket is very big in contries like australia, india, england, pakistan, s africa but the people knowing basketball, football, soccer are sooooooo much compared to cricket. dat is y der is less demand for cricket games. and if there is less demand, it is not of that good quality. Cricket 2004, relevant to all that i said, is way above expectations!

PS: Thanks -_-

you have one of the best pc configs i've ever seen in my life!!!!!!!!1 :OOO:

cricket is not so popular as football because it's not so famous in many countries like U.S.A, China, Japan, Russia etc...

B) i heard even in america they have a cricket team . and they were trying hard to get a place in the world cup.

by the way the champions trophy groups r released ,india and pakistan r in the same group with kenya

The USA has been playing cricket for nearly 200 years. They have played in every ICC Trophy (World Cup qualifiers) and are playing in the ICC 6 Nations, which is the qualifier for the Champion's Trophy (and those groups were released ages ago)

Yes...I am quite aware of how many people play cricket around the world, compare to the countries in the west. As canadian born as I am, I spent eight years growing up in India, and grew to not only love the game but became a huge fan of the Indian cricket team....needless to say I'm aware of the game's status in the world. Cricket being not popular in the west, is no reason to make a mediocre game. As a sport, cricket has more of an audience around the world (comparatively), than basketball, ice hockey and american football, so by that account cricket games should be one of the best. Yet the aforementioned sports enjoy a great deal of respect and hardwork when they are transported into zero's and one's.....Now why is that, I think it's because people here in the west are far more critical and serious about their games, and the companies/studios are quite aware of that fact. So more often than not, the games released in the west are of the highest quality. If NHL 2004 or Madden 2004 were to be presented in the same manner as Cricket 2004 has been presented, well lets just say that EA would not be sitting in their happy chair. As a cricket gaming community I think we need to ask a lot more in our cricket games....as fans of the sport and as fans of games, we deserve far more than just a lackadaisical effort. I guess what I'm trying to get at, is that in the year "2004" I expected a very slick and polished cricket game.

Hi guys
It seems that the byes-bug which is irritating most of us, depends on the CPU speed, and the graphics card, and the graphics settings !!. Even i found it hard to belive at first.

I have a amd 1800+ with 32 mb onboard .with 32bit texture depth and 1024*768 i used to get a lot of byes.
Now i have changed the settings to 16bit 1024*768 with Force Fcd or something turned to medium. Now the runs conceede thru byes are not so much.
in fact in my friends PC i played the knockout tournament and the tours with almost none of the runs conceede thru byes

So guys,if u r getting or giving away runs thru byes try reducing the graphics settings.
Then again it might have been purely coincidential ,who knows.
But i feel that since HB Studios developed this using high end systems they did not get this bug

Bye

Sorry Rahul, but if I were to stick a Radeon 9700 in an IBM 486 SX/PS1 computer....I still wouldn't have trouble running this game.
